Do your duty as an Immigrant and US Citizen. Make room for the New Immigrants; MOVE TO MEXICO As a descendant of immigrants, do you want to help with the problems of illegal immigration from Mexico? Do you really? Or do you believe that 'a wall' is the answer? The solution to the problem of illegal immigration is well known: MORE WORK AT A FAIR WAGE IN MEXICO It is very difficult and expensive for those coming north to leave their home and families behind. They would not come to the US if there were another choice. If there were only the slightest possibility of improving the quality of life for themselves and their family in Mexico, most would never leave their home. By simply living in Mexico you would inevitably add to the local economy and consequently increase employment. The opportunities for the People of Mexico are improving. New Schools and Universities are training a great number of students in many different fields but business and industry are failing to find these well trained graduates employment. But, what can you and I do now, to improve the working environment in Mexico rather then the expenditure of 2 Billion in tax dollars on a partial wall that is destined to fail? Recognize that the latest mature generation of US Citizens is the best educated,most knowledgeable and wealthiest group of folks the world has ever known. And, that retirement is really 'way cool' but can soon become quite boring. CHALLENGE Apply the knowledge you have gained in your career and consider the start-up of a small business in Mexico preferably with Mexican partners. Better yet is the concept of NO employees, only partners. At the very least, move to Mexico and offer your hard-won knowledge to the business community modeled on the US Small Business Administrations SCORE Program. As just one example, how about building a small Bed & Breakfast Hotel on the beach? Ten rooms built, as bungalows, would need to employ, at least part-time, a maid, cook, waiter, maintenance man, desk clerk, groundskeeper, and a manager in addition to the builder's construction crew. This example is not going to make you rich, but I can guarantee that your investment would be returned quickly, your own vacation housing and that of your family and friends is discounted, a small supplement to your income could eventually be provided; and, a very helpful shot to your Karma.
