What about the kids of today? What about those of tomorrow? Does anyone REALLY care?
This morning I read a well written article by Fareed Zakaria entitled, "The Enemy Within." In it, he described the birth of the Magna Carta in 1213 wherein the king of England was grabbed up to sign, entirely against his will, to sign this document. The beginning of International law. One of the central aspects of the law is the Writ of Habeus Corpus, or "produce the body." It prohibits people from being simply picked up off the street by "law enforcement" officials. On October 17th of this year George Bush in signing the Military Commissions Act of 2006 effectively murdered this Historical Writ for "unlawful enemy combatants." This phrase has never been heard of before Bush. It has no meaning per se and can be, in the sick mind, called to serve a huge variety of definitions. No one in the US is safe from this maniacal edict. People being held in secret prisons world wide by the US and complicit countries, mostly eastern European without charges, no evidence of any wrong doing whatever. Many have been in these concentration camps being tortured for information that most don't have, and the rest has served to be of little consequence in the outcome of George's Crusade. Despite this, the average American hasn't a clue that these things are going on. They don't realize they are being spied upon by their own country in ways we don't even know. Data is being gathered in the terraton range on us all. Here in New Mexico, at age 52, I'm being carded by the convenience store when I buy alcoholic beverages. So is everyone else. When this program started, the clerk needed only to see a NM Driver license. Now the card is slid through a reader for reasons that are unknown. So where this data goes, remains a mystery. I've tried to find out with no success. Major Corporations trade personal information of customers for money now. That is, it's a business. There is little about each of us the Regime can't find out. We've clearly departed from any form of Democracy. Once the phrase, "revolving door" between Corporate America and the Government was used in an almost jocular manner. Now it is outed vetted fact. We aren't safe in our own homes and there is nothing being done about it. It seems that the Dems are happy to scrape all the Bush madness under the table in favor of issues such as minimum wage and healthcare. Important topics to be sure, but hardly worth mentioning in the face of this country's darkest hours. A regime that embraces fascism and has no problem using force, deadly force as some unfortunates found out having fifty slugs pumped into them by a bunch of crazed cops. "If you ain't white!, your wrong!" seems to be the mantra of the NYPD, LAPD, and many others. I'll wait to see what these democrats do, especially the incumbents who have had two years to sit on their wide asses to become the most worthless congress in US history. I sort of feel sorry for those who think in a clearly failed social control paradigm such as the US "government" they can still petition change for the better. Many don't realize the bickering and lack of bipartisanship over the years has kept so much work that is desperately needed from being accomplished. I expect this to continue. Democracy. The United States has never come close to it. Now, we're farther away than ever before.
Mr. Bohne is a clockmaker and activist. He HATES the US Government, and without stretching the truth (reality) will do anything to dig up dirt on any of these bastards, as long as it's REAL dirt.
