Doc Stranglelove or: How I Learned to Stop Choking the Chicken and Love AI (poem)
By John Hawkins
A poem meant to be a commentary on the day's eventa re AI and that kind of thing.
::::::::
The thing about ChatGPT is this:
Some folks just squall and rant and carry on,
All heebeeweebies, cry Armageddon!
Like we ain't shifted paradigms before.
Sure, it'll be cruel for a while, AI
Showing us just how meaningless we are,
And how easily we can be replaced
With decisions unclouded by desire
And doubt -- and stupidity. Move over.
.
But it could go the other way. Let's hope
We can contain the electrical storm
From alpha centauri way; that we shine
Anew, a species hooked on Bach's love fugues.
.
And let's hope Bob Dylan doesn't weigh in
With some "Murder Most Foul" rintintin toot.
