obama was not left

obama was right about Joe Biden

Joe Biden found a way to f*ck it up -

he won

we think

we accept for now

extending him credit with low interest

banking on his decencyâ„¢

hoping he makes it to the Inauguration

to raise a lying hand like they all do

do you swear? (We the people do -- a lot)

before dying of natural or unkept campaign causes

the winning lesser of two evils

(haven't we had enough of the Lesser dynasty?)

like the sugar in PepsiCoke was good for us again

masked euphoria in the streets, talking heads note

the crazy white kids of Georgetown seeing Great White Hope again

(praised by CNN talking heads, not wearing masks)

TV pundits counting every vote -- this time

now back to Vegas rules and one-armed bandits

like the one that killed democracy in The Fugitive

Tio Bernie as Richard Janssen as the doctor who

celebrations of a return to normal

(see RD Laing)

like that was a ever good thing

next time some copper Harmon Killebrew

beats the snot out of some Rod Carew's kid

the age old debate: slugging versus bat control: you choose

(there's no crying in baseball)

in Fargo country, where they don't mince words, but

at least it won't be a cruel Repugnican beatdown

is essentially what we settled for

why do you think they call it lesser of two evils?

some say Karma-la is worse than Billy Barr

and the two should hold a key-throwing-away contest

see who can jail a predatory lender creditor longer

a lotus on a swampy pond, ribbit

(some say, psst, she's obama in drag,

she arrested a Jew once, now let's see

how she does with AIPAC's muscle toughs)

probably it all ain't over until

Ted Cruz invites Trump to Dallas

carroted by a new Trump Tower on-the-knoll

or Roger "Rolling" Stone airmails ol' Joe

some corona for his worn-out neurons to think about

and gets pardoned again and calls for a coup once more

but what will DJ do, now that preeny pal Putin

has the DTs from electoral interference withdrawal (EIW) syndrome?

the system is the solution, after all)

obama was right, Biden fucked it up

and won, chased into power

by dogfaced pony soldiers

and not-his-kind of peoples

and deplorable radicals

and radical deplorables

rat-jumping from a sinking ship

and fickle touch screens (wink), citizens

given the finger by barcode

and Biden blithely calls it all a man date

this anyone-but-Trump charge he barely survived, if he did

on the other hand, Ed Snowden's having a baby

(hooray) in Russia, apologizing for the need to do so,

another Dostoyevsky kid on the way

looking up through the floorboards of our culture, pacing

I might be an expat for life

the way things are going

but not yet (nyet)

pardon my reluctant assimilatese
