The impossible
Unbelievable
Horrible
Wonderful

Has happened

For some
A bullet has been dodged
A medusa monster beheaded
Melting into the dust
Of the remains
Of lifeless conquests

Another has risen
In place
However
The deep-seated
Feeling

Is that this time will be
Different
With seemingly unstoppable
Un-topple-able
Virtual power
The system will bow to the Real power
Of the people

We will demand
Command
And "Make it so"
As one fine Captain proclaimed
From a future Starship
Streaking through the cosmos
Unbounded by gravity
And other earthly "laws"

With no more to hide
Or fear
The "righting" of the ship
Will take place
Created by the very people
Who brought the candidates to these sacred offices

Aided by some celestial software

Written by technical gurus

Some say

It was not the first time
A predicted result has been re-formed

By superpowers

Of computer program

Prayer and meditation

Yet
Here we are

Yes
We have ventured into unknown territory
Some think they can now return
To bigotry
Discrimination
Ignorance
Doubt

Abuse

Lies And war

But they do not know
The magnificent wave of love
That carries us all forward
As we surf the "wall"
Of hate
Buoyed
By the connected filaments of true compassion
Newly initiated
By this very event

Yes
Hell Hath frozen over
It is 2016
A point
Out of Time
The Cubs won the World Series
And the People
Have won the World
Let it BE
