The Charade of the Lesser-Evil Choice

By Rafe Pilgrim

There is no "lesser-evil." Nevertheless, both major parties have been internally corrupted and are foisting that favorite old device on an electorate to capture the bobble-headed vote.

Americans really need to wake up.

There is no "lesser-evil." Nevertheless, both major parties have been internally corrupted and are foisting that favorite old device on an electorate to capture the bobble-headed vote.

.

One choice now to be the world's most powerful person favors a trash-talking buffoon. The other is for a very intelligent power-mongering bankster-buddy who has somehow managed to skate under the law to self-enrichment and political prominence.

.

Reform is desperately needed. It can come in two forms.

.

The form I opt for is the nourishment of representation outside of the currently self-imposed two-party straitjacket. A sample of this would be the Green Party. There could well be others. Most European democracies have four or more.

.

The other is the form we were taught to worship in school, featuring such heroes as Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and Ben Franklin. We dare not label that form of change here lest we be snagged in the word-recognition trap. Suffice it to say it begins with an "R."

.

Thus is our fate: The "lesser" of two corrupt choices as offered by our partisan masters, or the shedding of our partisan chains to move on -- one way or the other -- to capable and decent representation.

.

The first requirement to acquiring decent governance is to Wake Up. The second is to Do Something Different.

Authors Bio:
Leaving behind a treacherous government now addicted to perpetual war, its limitlessly greedy and power-lusting masters, as well as the retarded albeit smirky Republicans and their evermore clonish Democrat colleagues, a braindead electorate incapable of recognizing its own best interests, the hypocritical Christians who '"support our troops," and the tiresome, sloganeering and feckless activist-hobbyists, as well as those who profit from their plastic morality -- I now repair to my Jungle Home amidst the giant palmettos on a dirt road running east from the Gulf coast that neither the US Mail nor school buses dare assay, and there to gain the more decent and trustworthy company of the indigenous sand tortoises and rattlesnakes.
