What What We mean by "Betterness" in Self-Governance -- Part 2

When We The People engage in legislation decision of governance, don't We always do so in order to make Our Lives and Nation Better? This should be the why of it.

Whether its solving problems, correcting "mistakes" or trying to develop new ways to enhance More of Our Lives, We always have Better in Our Minds.

To some "Better" means to recapture that that has become lost. It would be "Better" to get certain lost things back. Usually because these things felt good, or We come to realize that they were more important to Us, than We thought. This might be called "Reaching Back For Better".

To others "Better" might mean being kinder, or gentler to Ourselves. Or tasting new pleasures. "Reaching Forward for Better".

Some of Us might be focused on removing certain laws that are unfair to some, while these give advantages to others. We seem to sense an unbalance in this phenomena"and that it would be Good to change it, to bring Better Balance into it.

The Wisest of Us see all of these social governance needs and are dedicated to bringing their fulfillment into Our Culture. In the "Spirit of Betterness", to make Our Sovereign Nation Better.

But, in Our quest for all of this improvement for Better, We must remember that even "Betterness" can go too far, too fast"and become a worse thing. "Betterness", to be the real deal, has to be well considered and deliberated upon. Steps are usually more serviceable than leaps.

But for Betterness to be of the best service to We The Many, it has to be Moral. It has to be Morally motivated and Morally aimed. It must arise out of Our Very Best Understandings of the call of the "Golden Rule", or what might otherwise be termed "Universal Divine Imperative".

There are two foundations for the Morality that I am referring to:

(1) Spiritual Beliefs based on limited information from the rest of Creation.

(2) The seeming Evolving Natural Urges that emerge in Humans on Earth that are the opposite of almost total self-servingness.

Spiritual Beliefs; Humanity has received some communication from the Created Realms and Beings beyond Our Planet. Most of the reason that there has not been more of this is the conditions of Our Species' Evolution and a special directive from "On High" that We be isolated, due to involvement in rebellion against Creation design and purposes. The responsibility for this "rebellion" is predominately placed on the leadership cadre of Our World. Most of Humanity was dragged into this through failed leadership.

The Natural Human equation for Our Moral condition, derives from Our Design and its response to our Life Environments. One might see this Humaneness as a somewhat automatic function, that has bravely carried on, the best it can, the original mandates of Our Design. There is much that is good in Humans and can and does emerge to some extent. It is Our Responsibility to try and increase this latent design condition, through reason and self-discipline in Our Daily Lives. We have proved that We can do this without Spiritual Considerations. We can and do, do these Moral Choices on Our Own, so to speak.

Both of these sources of True Morality are in Us. Some more than others. Both of these sources of True Morality are in service to the needs of Love and Nurturing Creation. Both add up to more strength of True Goodness and increased Evolution of Humanity of Earth. The more We function Morally, the Better We become; the more Evolved. The more Evolved We become, the closer We come to diminished isolation from the rest of Creation. Its up to Us. We have what it takes. We can make things Better"a lot Better.

Many Moral choices are easy; cut and dried. It is easy to tell when it is best to act kindly, or from a perspective of the Greatest Benefit to We The Many. But some Truly Moral choices will not be easy, by any stretch of the imagination. Because pain might result, no matter what the choice is. This might not always be a happy thing. Adjustment to personal sacrifices may be part of this "Betterness". Sometimes We might have to accept less in order to one day achieve more. The Moral choice that leads to less pain would probably be the Better Choice"but there could be exceptions to this. Sometimes it might be best to just do nothing about something.

So. "Betterness" is the condition that results from the Better Moral Choice. What We The People, as Majority, mean as "Betterness" and "Better", when We are trying to improve, or increase the Evolution of our Kind, is the Moral Choices that are conducive to this.

This might be Our National Guidance Standard for the Morally Qualitative words, "Better" and "Betterness".

The time will come, when We are trying to make something Better for Our Nation and Us, that We will ask what We actually mean by "Better". This specific standard will provide the answer, or, at least part of the answer.

As to this specific standard fitting the pattern of the "Standard of Standards", I would say yes, somewhat. Because the inclusion of Morality will help provide the Wise Limitations at the ends. And the depths and heights will be based on the Intelligence and True Morality of the Majority Participation Embracement of this standard's principles. (the rising in the center of the picture of the "Standard of Standards""the "Collective Heart and Mind" of a standard's center.)

I see the Evolution of America as interconnected with that of Narbarism and, Hopefully, a source of Many, Many kinds of "Strength" for it. We will see.
