Science, The Path of Ecstasy and the Fostering of a Bottom Up Evolution

By Burl Hall

All religions pull together with science. This is the state of what physicist David Bohm and neurologist Karl Pribram call the Holographic Universe/Brain. It reflects the marriage of religion and science. Both are nested within the other. Dare we let go our divisiveness?

All religions pull together with science. Thus the mirror above reveals mirrors within mirrors. This is the state of what physicist David Bohm and neurologist Karl Pribram call the Holographic Universe/Brain. It reflects the marriage of religion and science. Both are nested within the other.

Even in the revelation of a pattern between science and spirituality, the so-called 'open-minded' science loving atheists refuse to explore anything that challenges their belief system. Yet, many scientists speak directly to spirituality and oftentimes will meld their findings with physics. As such, Fritzof Capra wrote a book titled just that: The Tao of Physics

To help you focus on a true open-minded scientist's view of religion and science, you may wish to read the transcript of Rob Kall's interview with Capra. http://www.opednews.com/Podcast/Fritjof-Capra--The-System-by-Rob-Kall-Balance_Bottom-up_Community_Economy-150102-549.html).

A more generalized introduction to Capra's work is at: http://www.spaceandmotion.com/Philosophy-Fritjof-Capra.htm

For those interested, I went through the transcript and identified how I thought Capra's thesis links to Kall's "Bottom Up" philosophy. These musings of mine are in the comments section.

Christ said, "Judge not lest ye be judged." This commandment is echoed in both atheist and theist mentalities. Opposites are mirror images of one another. "WE go by science," atheists say. "I have been saved by a preacher!" a born again may shout.

In opposition, they are married and in their divisional mentality, we are divided. Thus, yin and yang are never allowed to marry. Our activities upon this planet are those of rape and not love. The demolition of the Earth is the rape of a child's mind in standardized teach to the test education. Thus, we foster standardized production rather than children producing from within their minds. Creativity is damned in our culture.

Could it be there are so many mental health issues with our children based on the fact that we are not allowing them to unfold naturally?

There has been increasingly clear evidence that the world is not so objective as what we think scientifically and in our religions. Chaos theory states everything affects everything else. Thus, even at the level of the quantum, it appears WE are influencing life. We truly are not powerless.

This does not mean we are the Creator as per many New Agers. These folks are way too human centric, which boils down to being egocentric. Indeed, as I have said before, what we call God, what many of us call Nature, is in a state of unfolding or evolution (or in human beings, devolution). And, unfolding is simply a manifestation of potential. Point being, what is in you awaiting manifestation?

As Christ said in the "Gospel of Thomas: "if you bring forth that which is within you, that which is within you will save you. If you do not bring forth that which is within you, then that which is within you will kill you."

I call these natural consequences. The expression of your Nature is what will save you.

My point is: If you claim to be open-minded, you don't just poo-poo away what many say in the fields you believe in are scientific, objective and rational. Walk your talk! Otherwise, your not doing anything less than what a born-again evangelistic preacher is doing.

In this article, I want to change my frame a bit. I want to move beyond the identification of the pattern between the various religions and science. Instead, I want to introduce you into the world of ecstasy.

I also realize that ecstasy is NOT going to happen until you are ready. Babies don't walk and talk until they are at a certain level of maturation.

Ecstasy is the experience of the Whole in which the within and without converge as one. (Have you ever felt that deep melting in lovemaking?) In my personal experience, there is a point at which one experiences an ability to drop the body at will. Try it sometime. It'll take time due to your conditioning. (For me, its fear. When I got taste of this state of being, it scared the living hell out of me. I literally knew I could drop the body at will. The decision was mine. All mine).

If you tap into this, you'll find what appears inward is outward and what is outward is inward. It is there you tap into Cosmic Mind: Nature's Wisdom. In the Hindu Brahminic religions, this is the state where a practitioner says, "I and Thou maintain for a while until maturity is reached. Then, there is only Thou."

It's not God that's an illusion. It's us. We are participants in Natures play. In Hindu, this is called "Maya."

If you ask me about techniques to enter this state, I would say techniques have never worked for me. What has worked is a letting go and being receptive to when the time is right.

It's like the Beatle's song, "Within and Without You" which was on the Sgt Peppers album. I would guess the LSD helped John Lennon realize that. Acid like other psychadelics make you question what you think is reality. Indeed, it teaches that our mindset is deeply involved in creation. An objective observer seeing the world as it is speaks to an illusion.

Perhaps the reasoning of Nature is that Nature is multi-dimensional so you need the multi-dimensional minds (both states and across people and other creatures) to focus in on the multiplicity of Nature.

More than Creator and Creation, Mother is pure Creativity states the Hindu mystic Ramakrishna.

That's exactly who we are. Creativity. And what is Creativity if not an expression of our Nature, who we are?

This is not about a belief system. It is about experience. And what does science rely on? Experience! You introduce variables to see how they affect the outcome. The point is: you experience it. It's the same with the mystics. What woman wants a man who is all talk? Many of these women that meet these guys say "they are full of bullsh*t". Thus is a person who is full of ideas, ideals and words like these.

So, toss my words into the garbage can and dive deeply into the never-ending sea contained within you and everything else. Meanwhile, fire the Koch Brothers and other top-down fascists by sending them off sailing in their hot air balloon.

That's your job in these days. Send the Wizard off into the blue skies of Oz. Your sending him sailing is your spiritual task. Lennon spoke to this sending the Wizard off in the song "Revolution:" "You better free your mind instead!"

Get past the conditioning! Get past all the hot air you generate in your conditioned mind.

Your deconditioned mind is where the answers lie. You are the one we've all been waiting for. As chaos theory would predict, when you change, the world changes. Pull on one strand in the web, all else changes alongside that one.

Radical change begins with you. Who else is going to save the world?

Say you want a revolution? Better change your mind instead.

The question I present in my articles speak not so much towards the politicians, but how WE the people can empower ourselves within a planet that is healthy, wealthy and wise.
