The WOW Syndrome of the Bush White House

By E. T. SIMON

How interesting, and yet, how not at all surprising, that George Herbert Walker Bush happened to be in Washington, enjoying the perks of the White House, which he often does, as if to fulfill some megalomaniacal dream of power and control of his, on the same weekend that the Kafkaesque Bush White House kicked Porter Goss out of the CIA

The WOW Syndrome of the Bush White House:
“Admit nothing, deny everything, and make counteraccusations.”

Syndrome: 1: a group of signs and symptoms that occur together and characterize a particular abnormality
2: a set of concurrent things (as emotions or actions) that usually form an identifiable pattern.

How interesting, and yet, how not at all surprising, that George Herbert Walker Bush happened to be in Washington, enjoying the perks of the White House, which he often does, as if to fulfill some megalomaniacal dream of power and control of his, on the same weekend that the Kafkaesque Bush White House kicked Porter Goss out of the CIA for the purpose of naming and installing John Negroponte’s deputy, General Hayden, as the CIA’s new found head.

I have grown accustomed to expect the absurd, the bizarre, the nightmarishly complex, and the Kafkaesque qualities of the Bush White House. I have also grown accustomed to expect the sand that Bush, like his father before him, and his brother in Florida, like to throw in our eyes to keep us from seeing their true natures, the true intent of their policies and the true course of their governing of us.

As a result, I have turned to looking for whatever truth exists behind and beneath the sandstorms they throw at us, and to exploring whatever facts may lie on the other side of their Kafkaesque stage presentations. For, it is no ordinary occupancy of the white house and oval office that these Bushes conduct. No. Their, White House occupancy is more akin to a cavernous chamber of horrors, replete with lies and plentiful distortions and disfigurements of facts and truths meant to keep us from seeing the subversiveness of their operations against the world, against the American people and against our Democracy, and with themselves at the helm of power.

But, unlike waking-up from a true nightmare, from which we can take a deep breath, followed by a cool drink of water, and go back to sleep knowing that the horror we just went through was just that—a nightmare—or, unlike walking out of the house of mirrors into broad, day-light reality, waking up from any of the Bush nightmarish measures means that we, may well, all of us, wake up to realize just how much we have been abused by the Bushes and how much they have power grabbed, only to find out that it is too late to do anything to stop the increasingly repressive grip of the Bushes on the world, on our democracy and on our own personal freedoms and that we are doomed to continue living the nightmare they have set in motion for us.

The latest Kafkaesque salvo fired by the Bush occupied white house comes, to my mind, at least, with the discharge of Porter Goss as head of the CIA. The sand thrown in our face to explain Goss’s departure from the CIA is that, “he resigned”.

That staged Bush explanation of Porter Goss’s departure from the CIA, avoids exposure of the existing interlocking triangles between, on one leg of the triangle: the Bushes two: (poppy and sonny); on the second leg of the triangle: Porter Goss and on the third leg of the triangle John Negroponte—rivals competing for dominance over our surveillance and fighting a turf war over it- and,and over who will head the Spy Agencies themselves and the extent to which they will spy on the American people.
.................

George Herbert Walker Bush has a great deal invested in two babies, over at the House of Power on Pennsylvania Avenue. Two babies for which he is willing to go to hell and back, taking America with him along the path to hell, as long as his two babies come full term. Whether America comes back whole from that journey, or in pieces is a matter of, “Who cares?”... Certainly, not the Bushes.

First, there is the presidency of his son George, which, Poppy, the true Bush Decider, in his megalomaniacal Mengelian mind would like to fix, so that his son is viewed by history and current living human beings as one of the greatest presidents of modern times, with his presidency as one of the greatest presidencies ever. To do that extent, Bush the father is prepared to do whatever it takes to make sure that his son’s occupancy of the white house has that place in history so coveted by the Bushes.

Secondly, there is for Bush the elder, that strong, emotional and generational ties to a spy agency commonly known as the CIA; founded in 1947 as a, “handling agency for Nazis absorbed into the military industrial complex”, a military industrial complex idealized by the Bushes as much as war is idealized by them, and a military industrial complex in which, Bush-the-elder’s father, Prescott Bush, made his money and got his footing into the wealth, power and control of America through his dealings with German steel magnate, Fritz Thyssen, top financier of the Nazi party. See http://zyx.org/deathsquad.htm

There is also Poppy’s own service as Director of the CIA from 1976 to 1977 and under whose tenure, Operation Condor, a South American Assassination Cartel got off the ground...a tenure under which Poppy may well have, taught Poppy, or reinforced in him to, "Admit nothing, deny everything, and make counteraccusations,’’ an adage which serves the Bushes Kafkaesque white house well, and which, additionally, George Herbert Walker Bush has applied very well throughout his entire political career, and which, his sons have used very well in their own crime and political careers.

So while many of us are horrified to learn of just all the vermin that lives behind a spy net and all that goes with it, it is fair and accurate to say that a spy net is, like water to chocolate, second nature to George Herbert Walker Bush. And a spy net which would hold American citizens in toe to ensure that his son’s acrimonious presidency survives the Bushes unpopularity, and that the beloved military-industrial complex of his father and grandfather is kept afloat, is like a dream pursued and a dream come true for this most, malevolent arachnoid man and his evil son.

General Hayden, a close ally and deputy of John Negroponte's, who is, in turn, a close ally of Poppy Bush, and, who, himself is a controversial figure because of his involvement in the covert funding of the Contras, and the coverup of human rights abuses carried out by CIA trained operatives in Honduras in the 1980s, would be just the man to carry forward the spy and suppression net required to keep the Bushes in power and their military industrial complex afloat and growing.

So, forced to make a choice between Porter Goss and Negroponte's Hayden, of course, Poppy wants Hayden installed. Now. Before it is too late. Before there is a bloodless revolt against his son, like the bloodless coup d’etat that Poppy gave us in election 2000 in order to sit his son in the oval office to leash upon the United States his nazified, megalomaniacal dreams of power, wealth and control.

Given the historical and emotional ties above, it is apparent to this mind, that in the struggle between Goss and Negroponte, a struggle which is reported to have culminated on a weekend when the malevolent Poppy was enjoying the perks and privileges of the white house full throttle, a weekend when Hayden and Negroponte had full access to Poppy’s ears, they filled it with gossip against Porter Goss, his job at the CIA, and the possible and unwelcomed outcome for junior of keeping Goss at the CIA.

Poppy, the malevolent arachnoid sided with Mr. Negroponte, his henchman of the 1980s, and Mr. Negroponte’s current deputy, General Hayden.

The rest is Kafakesque fiction. One more time the name of Poppy’s henchmen and goons flow out of Junior’s mouth in his deluded game of, “I am the Decider.”

Authors Bio:
E.T.SIMON ... Keeping the Bio Real and Transparent ...
E. T. SIMON is more often like a transplanted palm tree from the land of Santiago de Cuba where she was born to a Cuban, Tulane University, lawyer educated father and, a Mississippi, mother, great-granddaughter of American Revolutionary War hero, Brigadier General Andrew Pickens who is credited with the victory against the British in the Battle of the Cowpens. Although at times, E.T. Simon is more like, the fruit of the pecan of her Mississippi grandparents pecan farm of long ago, or even like the Sycamore so firmly rooted in the Florida Peninsula. As such, the daughter of bi-cultural, bi-lingual parents, E.T. Simon navigated the bi-cultural ties, bi-lingual shores of her birth, while learning to appreciate Cuban and Southern cuisine and cultures, from a very early age.

At the age of 15, two years after her mother's death, she dreamt about running away from her home to join the , "Bohemians" of the 1950s in New York's Greenwich Village and become a writer. She did not. In 1961, at the age of 18 her father sent her across the pond to her mother's family in Mississippi in an effort to keep her from falling prey to Fidel Castro's repressive agents who were on her trail for her opposition to Fidel Castro.
Bumpy rides, or not, In 1976, E.T. Simon, after twelve years of part time studies, with in-between times-off for parenting, obtained her B.A. in English with a Major in Literature and a double minor in Psychology and Philosophy. In 1985 she obtained her Master's Degree in Counseling and in 1987 her License in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Her quest to pursue a MFA in Creative Writing was derailed when a stuffed shirt Chaucer Literature Professor graded her paper on The Prioress Tale short of the A she needed to establish her credentials in the MFA Creative Writing Program, even while receiving the support of the Academic Dean who told her with a certain urgency, "don't stop writing. You'll find a way."
Prior to pursuing her graduate studies in counseling, Ms. E.T. Simon joined a Creative Writing Group where she honed in on some of the art and craft of writing and had the pleasure of attending poetry readings by Tess Gallagher, Denise Levertov, Rutabaga Rose and others.
Following her 1985 graduation, Ms. E.T. Simon proceeded to work as a counselor/family therapist until 1998 when, following surgery, she became a near recluse and has remained a near recluse for the last twelve years or so.
It was during those years that she worked as a counselor/family therapist that Ms. E.T. Simon learned that grief is a powerful agent which often contributes to the derailing of families; that human hearts can bury grief for generations and generations with the grief popping up unexpectedly as a symptom anywhere, sometimes even in someone else further along in the generations.
Ms. E.T. Simon also learned that when careful unearthing of buried grief happens and a person is enabled to truly grieve the pain of a loss they have been holding on to for years, then rebalancing of the derailment takes place and true healing occurs.

Writing is a lifelong love of E.T. Simon's, and whether she kept her writings buried in dusty drawers, or shared them with university professors, writers' groups, editors, or published them, the writer's flame burns undying in her. The flame of truth also burns in her along with the need to stand up for the underdog, of which, today, she finds herself to be one. This blended well in her throughout her years of computer activism for peace and social justice.

E.T. Simon's articles have been published under the name of TERESA SIMON-NOBLE, the pen name of ELENA DUMAS; and at times, under the additional pen name of SKYAGUNSTA, or SKYAGUNSTA PICKENS, both of which are a direct reference to her great-great-grandfather Brigadier General Andrew Pickens who was named "Skyagunsta," by Native Americans who came to appreciate him as a man of conscience. Please also know that whether the articles have been signed with one name, or another; with a pen name, or another, the writings have always come straight from my heart, my perception, and my core values.
In other words, it has always been me, and only me, writing the articles.
