Sleepwalking To Starvation
By Christopher Calder
The biggest crime of the 21st century is global biofuel production. It makes a very few of us temporarily rich through ill gotten profits, but is immediately destructive to the majority of people on planet Earth, and will ultimately even destroy the biofuel advocates and manufacturers themselves. No one will escape the long term environmental, economic, and political consequences of global biofuel production.

America use to be a land of plenty, with cheap food, plenty of water, and lots of natural resources. Those natural resources are rapidly being used up due to overpopulation and the passage of time. The problem of human population being far greater than the long term carrying capacity of planet Earth is, of course, the predominate global issue that few wish to discuss, perhaps because there are no easy solutions that do not involve dictatorial policies far more severe than the modest population control laws currently being enforced by the People's Republic of China.Mother nature will ultimately control our population, and she will do so with disease and starvation. Instead of trying to forestall and delay the day of our ultimate collapse, our political leaders from President Barack Obama (Democrat) to Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley (Republican) are doing everything in their power to shrink the human food supply and starve their own grandchildren, all for the sake of dishonest short term profits made by forcing consumers by government decree to buy the engine rotting snake oil energy solution known as "biofuels." Hearing the health food store sounding term "bio" in the name has allowed them to make an environmentally criminal act sound green. "Green" is the psychologically cancerous slogan used to sell naive consumers all sorts of rubbish, much of which is far more destruction to Earth's ecology than the traditional products they wish to replace.
I have written about the global biofuel disaster for many years, but have not significantly altered the course of human history because few people wish to read about energy policy, and even fewer can understand the mathematical relationships between food, energy, economics, expanding population, and our finite resources. They can see what is directly in front of them, but cannot comprehend the big picture.
So, instead of relying only on logical arguments backed up by proven facts on the ground, I have created two video editorials that might gain more attention. Please see my dramatic new 15 minute YouTube video,
THE GLOBAL BIOFUEL DISASTER, at:

Maybe words complimented by moving pictures and compelling music can do more than the written word alone. I hope so, because our descendents will pay a heavy price for our current lack of cognizance as to what is really happening to us and why. Global biofuel production has killed far more people during the 1993 to 2013 time frame than all wars and acts of terrorism combined over the same time period, and has heavily contributed to political instability, the collapse of economies and governments, greenhouse creation and release, water pollution, rainforest deforestation, and topsoil erosion. And this was done to us, not by al-Qaeda, Russia, China, Cuba, North Korea, the PLO, or Iran Fleming's fictional Dr. No. It was destructively accomplished by our own leaders and paid for by U.S. taxpayers and our mounting federal and state budget deficits.
