The main candidate WHO LOST against Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez
And his rise to power
"I come from a working family. My grandparents arrived in Venezuela with nothing. ... I worked since I was 11 years old."
- Henrique Capriles Radonski
Henrique Capriles Radonski is the leader of
THE PARTY PRIMERO JUSTICIA, A CREATURE OF USAID, NED & IRI
and was born on 11 July 1972, in Caracas to one of the most privileged families in Venezuela. His mother, Monica Cristina Radonski Bochenek, of Jewish (Russian-Polish) origin, is the owner of a well-known cinema chain. His father, Henrique Capriles Garcia is from a Jewish-Dutch family from Curacao.
Both families have interests in the media, own various industries, services and real estate. Capriles Radonsky graduated from the conservative Catholic University Andres Bello (UCAB) in Caracas, and also studied at Columbia University, New York.
Capriles tries to focus on his "humble" roots, like many politicians making promises about reducing poverty and "social inclusion"
.....kinda just like Mitt Rmoney..
In 2000, Capriles formed the political party Primero Justicia, along with Leopoldo Lopez.
The policies of the Primero Justicia, were developed with financing and assessment of USAID through the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the International Republican Institute (IRI), that have provided experts of the Republican Party of the USA who design its political platform and communication strategy.
In reports published by the USA State Department on Venezuela and published by Wikileaks, Capriles was linked to the assault on the Cuban Embassy in Caracas, and as a suspect in the assassination of the Venezuelan Prosecutor, Danilo Anderson.
The documents demonstrate the complacency of the USA Embassy in Caracas towards this leader of the Primero Justicia Party of fascist bent and whose role in the assault to the Cuban Embassy and other illicit activities has been censured in the text.
These documents show that the USA Embassy not only recognizes Capriles, when he was the governor of the state of Miranda, but also offered him cooperation and the many paragraphs that are blacked out by the censors in Washington reveal collaborations that is beyond what they are prepared to confess.
Henrique Capriles Radonski campaigned as a youthful alternative to Chavez, who has been battling cancer, as if that might make him weaken.
Capriles who was governor of Miranda's supporters tout his motivation:
Adriana D'Elia, the current governor of Miranda state said "He is a person that works 24 hours, 365 days a year, It is difficult to keep up with him."
His detractors consider him a fresh face for Venezuela's old elite, a politician who acts like a champion of democracy but who is happy to subvert the will of the people when it fits his own ends.
Capriles participated in a 2002 coup attempt against the country's elected government. Critics say he was complicit with violent protesters at the Cuban consulate in
Baruta, where opposition attackers thought members of Chavez's inner circle were hiding.
The right-wing leader Henrique Capriles Radonski, who, amidst the coup d'etat against President Hugo Chavez in April 2002, led the assault on the Cuban Embassy in Caracas along with Cuban-Venezuelan terrorists, and who were unmasked by Wikileaks as a collaborator of the USA Embassy in Caracas
On April 12, 2002, during the most tense hours of the coup d'etat, the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba was assaulted by a group of extreme right demonstrators that were led by two individuals identified in Venezuela to terrorist acts against Cuba, they are Salvador Romani and Ricardo Koesling. These two were soon after joined by Capriles and the former commissar of the DISIP (former secret police), the assassin, Henry Lopez Sisco.
They cut the electricity and water supply to the diplomatic headquarters, they destroyed the vehicles of the diplomats and they surrounded the embassy so that no one could leave it. Capriles Radonsky was caught on film by the Venezuelan TV stations climbing a ladder and jumping over the embassy fence, then enter the embassy and threatening the Ambassador of Cuba in Venezuela, German Sanchez Otero, with more violence if he did not give up the Venezuelan officials whom they thought were hidden in the Embassy.
On that same day, April 12, Capriles -- who was then mayor of the municipality of Baruta where the Cuban Embassy was located- not only refused to take measures to stop acts of violence, but witnessing on site the violence, insisted on "inspecting" the Embassy, something completely against international conventions, and then made provocative statements.
Capriles Radonski was also an accomplice in the arbitrary detention of Ramon Rodriguez Chacin, then Minister of Justice and the Interior and took part in the illegal sacking of his home.
After many lies and spins of the right concerning the circumstances of the assault, on March 16 2004, the prosecutor Danilo Anderson, in charge of more than 400 cases of people suspected in the coup d'etat of April 2002, issued an order of arrest against Capriles, accusing him of violating the fundamental principles of international law, violating private property and of abuse of power. While these proceedings were going on, Capriles was kept in detention until September.
On November 18, the young prosecutor died when his car exploded, destroyed by a bomb that contained the explosives C-4, a powerful artifact the type that has been used en in numerous occasions by Cuban-American terrorists.
A list was published of the intellectual authors of the assassination, among whom was Salvador Romani, a Cuban lawyer, along with the financial swindler Nelson Mezerhane, shareholder of the private TV station Globovision, the journalist and supporter of the coup d'etat Patricia Poleo, the traitor Gen. Eugenio Añez, and Henry Lopez Sisco. They are almost all now living in Miami.
Another accomplice of this gang, Ricardo Koesling has been linked with Cuban-American terrorism since the 1970s and was even an accomplice in helping the terrorist Luis Posada Carriles escape from the Prison San Juan de los Morros, in 1985, while at the same time he was a very high placed collaborator of the government of Venezuelan President Jaime Lusinchi.
Henry Lopez Sisco, fomer commissariat and torturer of the secret police ex "DISIP", worked for years along side the terrorist Posada.
Among the suspects --all of whom are linked to Capriles -- that sought sanctuary in Miami- is another former "DISIP" official , Joaquin Chaffardet, who, along with Lopez Sisco was trained by the intelligence services of the USA in the infamous School of the Americas.
USAID has this year given a donation of five million dollars to right wing Venezuelan groups under the pretext of "supporting democracy". This measure which was announced in Miami by Mark Feierstein, head of the US organism for Latin America, violates the Venezuelan Law of Political Sovereignty and National Self-determination, which since 2010 forbids foreign financing of Venezuelan political parties.
Capriles Rodonski belongs to the same extreme right wing ideological group whose main leader in Venezuela is Alejandro Peña Esclusa, who was arrested in Caracas carrying 900 grams of C-4 and detonators, having been denounced by the Salvadorean Francisco Chavez Abarca, a specialist on C-4 who was trained by Posada, and was extradited later to Cuba.
After Chavez foiled the coup with the help of loyal army officers, Capriles was detained for 119 days, but was later released after being absolved in court. DUE TO THE ASSASSINATION OF the prosecutor Danilo Anderson....and he now touts "Unfair jail sentences as twice the burden," on his website.
Prison has had a lasting impact on the candidate, former colleagues said. "I am sure that the experience made him tougher," said D'Elia, who has known Capriles for more than a
decade.
(TOO BAD HE DIDN'T LEARN FROM IT.....BUT WHAT A PERFECT PATSY FOR THE U.S.)
After overcoming his legal problems, Capriles ran for governor of Miranda state in 2008. He unseated governor Diosdado Cabello, who some analysts see as the president's right-hand man.
"I am visiting our Venezuela, introducing plans for education, health, security, and [Chavez] cannot deal with those proposals. He appeals to a dirty war, to fear."
- Henrique Capriles
He compares his political approach to that of former Brazilian President Luiz Ignacio Lula da Silva, who promoted pro-business policies, while also developing and funding social programs.
"Capriles' campaign has been very concrete: he has emphasized the problems of job opportunities, assistance to older people, assistance to those who live in extreme poverty.
Education has been also a recurrent topic," Maria Ponce, a researcher at Andres Bello Catholic University, told Al Jazeera.
So why did Leopoldo López withdraw from the race?.....he struck a deal with Radonski
and this so-called 'Unity Table', which was gathering politicians to become candidates against Hugo Chavez, Lopez threw his support behind Radonski to bolster his campaign, which didn't have a lot of support according to the polls
Lopez is under an 'administrative dishabilitation' which forbids him to work inside public administration because of PROVEN cases of corruption that occurred during one of his administrations as Mayor of Chacao, Lopez had clearly not gained much in the polls since joining the race, in fact some polls suggest he had lost ground and politically it was risky for him personally to perform badly, obtaining even less than ten percent of the vote. There is no question that Lopez' legal case remains an anvil hanging from his neck.
Lopez' withdrawal would make it hard to have a continuous flow of funding that would surely go to the other candidates in the race. The move guarantees this funding.
Clearly, if Leopoldo was going to support someone, it had to be Capriles, he could not back any of the others, including Maria Corina Machado, who so far has shown less progress in gaining support than Lopez, even if we don't have any numbers after her "To Expropriate is to rob" statement. And even if she did, she still does not have a national structure to get out the vote on primary day.
At an campaign event that was filmed, the opposition showed a plan of government that would operate for any of these candidates, should they reach the presidency.... but not even in the plan had they reached an agreement , with one not signing and another signed "but with reserves", and he made some observations:
"We are talking about Maria Machado, Pablo Perez, Pablo Medina, Diego Arria, Leopoldo López and Henrique Capriles Radonski, so we will have to follow this today because they are saying that they won't even give the citizens the opportunity to vote in these primaries" which were held in February, and "Lopez can already build these alliances"
(SEE 'Venezuela's opposition announces agreements before primary' YouTube)
At a Globovision debate, Henrique Capriles was vague. AGAIN, JUST LIKE RMONEY...One did not get a feeling he has vision or understanding of what makes a country grow and work. He can talk many times of what he did in Miranda. But being President is more than about servicing people and solving current problems, you have to look way down the line, He did not mention one concrete or semi-concrete proposal to that effect, according to one who attended the event.
