Mystic Christians identify Christ as the evolutionary potential of humanity. Yet, we have not evolved in the past 6,000 years while Christians are some of the most outspoken critics of the notion of evolution. What stops us from evolving? It is nothing less than our conditioning. Can we move beyond our conditioning and dive intot he infinite ocean of the non-conditioned where all potentials lie?

          Many New Agers speak of the Shining Ones as the Christians await the Messiah descending down to Earth on a cloud surrounded by angels.   It's always the externalized ones that we toss our faith towards.   And what has it gotten us?   It has gotten us despots that we now call the 1% ruling the world many of them saying "God is on our side!"  

          But perhaps it is as one Buddhist scholar stated, "if you see the Buddha by the roadside, kill Him!"   Why would a Buddhist say such a thing?   Because we tend to seek externally what we have internally.   I would say the same thing about some alien coming down in a spaceship or a pissed off Christ figure flaring down from Heaven on a cloud.   Even Christ would tell you the same thing as evidenced by His statement in the New Testament to seek Truth within.   "For surely if you say that Heaven is in the sky then the birds in the air shall precede you there."

          Heaven is within and without you.

          What all these stories tell you, from the stories of creation to the destruction of the Earth is nothing more than an indicator of what is within you.   That from which you give birth is that to which you return.

Instead of taking a spaceship into space to discover Truth, discover the wonders of the cosmos within yourself.   Instead of taking a submarine into the depths of the Oceans, dive deep into your own depths to explore the wonders there.  

          In diving deep or in sailing high you will come to a place where time and space is not.   This is what the Mystics refer to as the Eternal Now.   Hence, this moment is Genesis for the void appearing at the beginning is yourself in your deepest nudity.   This nudity is you stripped of persona, body, mind, Soul, and so on (unless you call this place your Soul). It is at this point that Burl ceases to be a Burl and God ceases to be a God.   Yet, this is not death.   It is Infinite Life.          

         In the depths of the Eternal Now, or Infinite Life, diversity is unity and unity is diversity.   Human conception is a metaphor for this process.   Thus, a single egg emerges from the ovaries and finds herself surrounded by thousands of "gentlemen callers".   Yet, only one gets in at which point the egg divides in half and then into the multiplicity of cells reading this. Yet it remains one which is why we live in a uni-verse.

          This is how the Process or Way is spoken of through the creation stories told throughout the world".from science to the stories of the old wise men and women.

          It is well known by science that the male chromosome is a "Y" and the female an "X".   How did this come to be?   Let's have some fun and create a story.   The story is not just in my head.   It is based on a network of stories emerging from ancient cultures and modern science. Yet, it has been known to me even before coming into contact with the cultures and science.   How can you not know that which you are part of and speaks to the essence of your being?  

         Thus, here is my story, your story and the story of every atom, animal, and culture throughout the world.  

        In the beginning is the Nameless Unknown and the Nameless Unknown is all there is, was and will be.   Whether it was, wasn't, is or isn't is not the issue for it was and always will be unknown and in the unknown is the essence of what is.

        Essence was neither Male nor Female for context was not in the beginning.   Context only came about when Desire to be known came upon the Unknown.   Just as an eye wishes to behold itself but can only do so through a mirror, the Unknown needed the Known to be known.

         This primordial birth of the Known was that of Light.   This is what we call enlightenment.   Just as we say "a light went off in my head" when we have an insight, this was also the state of the beginning of the universe.

         Thus, the Light gazed upon His origins and said, "Ah, I am the Light of the Dark and it is by the Light that the Dark knows the infinite potentialities within Herself.   Without Me, She could never be known just as I could not be known without Her!"

         So, the Light called the Dark "Mother" for He felt Himself separated from Her"an "Other" even though He floated freely upon Her currents just as fish swim in the depths of the Sea.     

         The Light then penetrated deeply into the Dark to enlighten all the wonderful potentials lying within.   From the ecstasy of that sweet lovemaking stars, planets, moons and asteroids took form within the confines of Space"which was in the image of Mother.   In the Mother, nothing is separated from anything else.   What is nothing is all and all is of God.   Hence hole, whole and holy are one word.  

         The Light then saw in all of these creations the reflection of His being born of Dark.   So, He thought from His Mother's Depths, "I am pointed towards the Dark Nothingness from which I shine yet dark formless Nothing defines my Light which then illuminates form."

          It was a wonderful and beautiful dance, He thought.   Every second was a dream come true.   "Why seek externally what you have internally?" He thought thinking of the future humankind He had in mind.

         During His daring dance of the Depths, Desire came upon the idea of humankind.   And, from that thought, a most beautiful Woman arose from the Depths of the Mother.   In Her, He saw it all.   He saw the Mother.   Yet, somehow, She wasn't complete.   She was beautiful and full of potential.   But who was there to love Her and to unleash the potential?   Thus the Light said, "My Sweet, you shall no longer be alone but shall have a playmate for you to care for, love, and share and that sweetheart shall be the same towards you."  

           Thus, Desire gazed into the Woman He inhabited and removed one of Her chromosomes which was in the shape of an "X".   For a long time, perhaps eons, He pondered this shape and through an impulse arising from within His Mother, He removed the left leg of the chromosome and made it into a "Y".   He then took the missing leg and turned it into a clitoris that would be the spot through which Woman could most enjoy Herself and cause Her to desire the Man that Desire was imagining.   He then scratched His head for the joy was still within the Woman Herself and He, being Desire, wanted a mate for Her.   Thus He took the clitoris, enlarged it, and formed a penis. This is how Man came to be.

           Desire then pondered the penis and said, "this shall be a great delight for the Woman's lips." So, Desire stood back and admired His work.   Still something was missing.   This new man appeared incomplete.   So, He gazed at the Woman to see what She had internally that He was missing externally.   He then saw ovaries which were upward and inward and served in holding the eggs of potential beings.   Thus, He thought, the ovaries would be turned inside out to make testicles.  

          But, it was still incomplete.   So, Eros sat by the Sacred River and gazed into the deep waters.   Thus He saw His and His Mother's past creation, the Salmon who were swimming upstream.   Using Salmon as an example, Desire decided to have the testicles produce sperm in much the same fashion that ovaries produce eggs.   And like the Salmon seeking the Home of their birth, the sperm would swim upstream, against the current, to seek the illuminated egg.

         This is how Eros made Man as a Mirror to the Woman from whom He was born.   This is why Woman is Nature.   All creatures are a fertilized egg emerging from the body of Woman.   She is their foundation".even the foundation of God.     

        Just as left becomes right in a mirror image, the inner world of the Woman became the external world of the Man just as the unity of Femininity became the diversity of Masculinity.

         Yet, are the many and the one separate from each other?   Is the 99 separate from the 1? Does a faction of the 99% take charge and become the new 1%? Unless we make fundamental changes within ourselves, we will continue to surrender our power to despots that talk a good game.

         It has been the sin of humankind to lose sight of this deep unifying Truth known to the Gods and the ancient wise peoples of the world.    Opposites are not opposing or warring factions.   They are mirrors of one another.   In knowing this, can we possibly reclaim peace?   Can the radical liberal see in the radical conservative his own face?   Can the left see the right as a mirror image?

        What are opposites anyway?   As left becomes right in a mirror image; could it be that man and woman are mirrors of one another.             Knowing this a commandment such as "love thy neighbor as thyself" becomes more than a statement to be nice.   It is simply cosmic reality.           

       How many times is the same story told?

       Many times it has been told.   Consider a sampling (remember, these don't have to be seen as what has happened in time but that happens eternally NOW meaning these places are available to you via the practice of exercises such as meditation):

Genesis 1 of the Bible:

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ² Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

³ And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. ⁴ God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. ⁵ God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning--the first day.

 ⁶ And God said, "Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water."

  ⁷ So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. ⁸ God called the vault "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning--the second day.

The Hindu Rig Veda:

"There was neither death nor immortality then.   There was no distinguishing sign of day or night. That one breathed, windless, by its own impulse.   Other than that there was nothing beyond.  

Darkness was hidden by darkness in the beginning with no distinguishing sign.   All this was Water (i.e., undifferentiated Life).   The Life Force that was covered with Emptiness, that One arose through the power of heat.

Desire came upon that one in the beginning; that was the first seed of mind.   Poets seeking in their heart with Wisdom found the bond of existence in non-existence.     

Again, in the Rig Veda 10:125:

"I give birth to the Father at the head of this world.   My womb is in the Waters, within the Ocean. From there I spread out over all creatures and touch the very sky with the crown of my head.   I am the one who blows like the wind, embracing all creatures."(Note: in Genesis the wind moving upon the face of the Waters (female Tehom also Marie) was the feminine Ruach which was eventually identified with Hockmah Binah or Wisdom and Understanding which in Greek was translated as Sophia Episteme)

Likewise in the Stanzas of Dyzan:

"Darkness radiates Light and Light drops one solitary ray into the Mother's depths.   The ray shoots through the virgin egg, the ray causes the eternal egg to thrill and drop the non -- eternal germ, which condenses into the world egg".."

The Native American Kogis say:

"In the beginning there was only blackness

Only the Sea.

The Sea was the Mother.

The Mother was not people.   She was not anything at all.

Nothing at all.

She was when She was.   Darkly.

From the Hindu Ramakrishna

"More than Creator and creation

Mother is pure Creativity

Beyond any notion of twoness

Universe and Father-God are thrilling glance

From Her seductive eyes.

Always pregnant with Ecstasy

She gives birth to manifest Being

From Her womb of primordial Awareness

Nursing Him tenderly at Her breast

She consumes Her child

The world dissolves instantly

Upon touching Her white teeth

Attaining the realization of

Her brilliant and translucent void."

Likewise physicist David Bohm and neurologist Karl Pribram independently came up with the idea of the universe being grounded in an infinite Ocean of Energy they refer to as the Unmanifest Implicate Order which gives rise to the Manifest Explicit Order.  

It is there, in the Unmanifest, the place before time and space that we must turn to create a new world.   The possibilities are infinite. But, the cost of doing this is going to be in letting go of what and who you think you are and what the world is.    Lao Tzu says it beautifully in the Tao Te Ching: "Be newborn, be free of yourself."   As sperm and egg die to each other in the conception of a child, we must die to who we think we are.   The conditioned mind must become unconditioned.
