This is a perspective on the people's rights and far too often our own extreme ignorance. Part of the 99%, the pregnant woman in recent headlines has suffered a miscarriage. Nineteen year old Jennifer Fox, by a kick to her stomach she received from a police officer along with an overwhelming amount pepper spray is to blame according to her physician. All this while she was cooperating on video.

Thomas Jefferson said, "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism."

No matter how the misuse of mace may be justified, it is clearly against what we believe in America, its misuse is paramount to torture. When a citizen misuses mace it is acknowledged as a crime so when any division of law enforcement misuses it, it is still a crime and a very blatant one at that. Ignorance is bliss; even among those who should most know better.

Apparently human rights have no meaning to some of those charged with protecting the public. America has become a dictatorship right in front of us. The only safe form of government is one that is in the hands of all the populace and an enlightened populace of all the people. As I recall Jefferson proposed making a new government in replacement of the old one whenever it became necessary periodically.  

Higher moral character in the police who should refuse to take away the Constitutional rights of the people must be required. From those who require much, much is required; and some are shirking their real duty to the American people. Patriotism is not walking in lock step, it is making a country acceptable to all the people. We are not the corporations' nor the governments' private possessions. It is they who belong to us.

The police seemingly are more worried about tomorrow's paycheck while busily turning a democratic republic into a police state. We have a lot more police than most other countries and more prisons, some of the deadliest, and a prison population of over two million, more and than all countries in the world.   Our country has turned into an occult dictatorship before our very eyes. Or perhaps they too are corrupted by unmitigatable desire for power and control over others.

As we have been aware of for a very long time now, America is being destroyed from within. A monkey wrench has been thrown into the gears of a great country being destroyed from the top down. Those entrusted with our rights have made it legal to sell us down the river so they can attain a little more money and for a very short time, a little more power.

We pay taxes that are supposed to benefit us through our government; instead that money is taken and used against us by the industrial military [corporate] complex for their own greedy purposes. Thomas Jefferson put it this way, "A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!"

When people allow themselves to become ignorant of their rights and how they came about them they then will soon loose them; also when ignorance abounds people do not understand the value of that which they so easily dispose. It is far too likely some will let boxes and bags be placed over their heads obscuring the understanding of what is so fundamental.

Thomas Jefferson expressed himself, saying, "Upon the altar of God I pledge eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man." It is when we allow those we have empowered to control our thinking that all may be lost for generations while we have the wise fools misleading the blind.

I wonder if any of the rich have considered that all that money they are grasping for to the very last dollar is fiat currency; if it is not circulated to build anything then that currency becomes worthless. Assets also lose their value in the same manner. Think about what that makes some of you who aspire to own everything and will end up having nothing.

Those with small minds think only of destruction and are capable of no other. Creativity requires an ability to build and grow and nurture. Empires are in the desires of those who are willing to destroy everything so they can own all of nothing. Yet their egocentric narrow thinking leaves them blind to better possibilities.

Consider Moammar Gadhafi who could have retired in wealth in another country with plenty of everything, instead his ego made him trade it for just a little more power for just a little more time only to find death in his end. Governments of, for and by those governments' privatized interests for their own survival only continue to be due to cruelty and repression and have no real reason to ever have even been in existence.

Yes even though it may not seem so obvious, quietly America has a hidden empire right now today right in front of your eyes if you will only open them and see it for that which it is. You might consider that a good thing, but to those in power it is that we the people are their subjects when they are to be subject to our will, not the other way around.

We have American Imperialism, sometimes Benevolent Imperialism and quite often though we ignorantly remain unaware, great atrocities are instigated such as what we did in Chile just a few decades back. We ruined and destroyed many thousands of lives for the selfish desires of a few selfish people acting in the form of corporate power involving the industrial military complex that President Eisenhower warned us against. Yet even when it is too late so many of us refuse to ever see what is in front of our faces.

Those greedy desiring so much power have a deep hole inside of them that can never be filled within them no matter how many lives they wantonly destroy. You dictators in the end will have nothing, nothing, nothing. It is only by knowledge that we are saved from dictators.

Benjamin Franklin may have said it first, "Those who surrender their freedom for a little   security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one."  

If we are to survive we must open our eyes and see the truth for what it is; it is only the truth that will set us free.
