I am in a world of pain and I will vote Democrat!

By Mary MacElveen

To the young progressive aka Democratic voters, exactly why do you wish to sit on the couch instead of getting out the vote for Democrats who have delivered so much? There are millions of people in this country in a world of hurt, yet you wish to sit this election out? I cannot for the life of me understand that thinking. Get off the f*cking couch and elect and re-elect Democrats!

::::::::

For the past six days now, I have been laid up at home with sciatica a common condition to those whose work has them standing on their feet for hours. As for me, I cannot WAIT to get back to work as a grocery store cashier. Thankfully, I have insurance that pays for me to see a doctor and receive the meds to correct this condition. I cannot wait to be pain free!

It is at this time, I think of others who share my trade or others who cannot afford health insurance. For many who were not covered and now are they have Democrats to thank for that. Democrats like President Barack Obama, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

To some who have chided Obamacare as socialized medicine, you be the one to ridicule a person suffering any ailment who cannot see a doctor! Oh please do! If you do, you are plainly Un-American and un-patriotic!

Right now, I am on so many medications because I am covered by insurance. Medications to stop me seizing due to epilepsy, a medication to stop my heart arrhythmia, a medication to lower my cholesterol which costs without insurance $500 dollars, and now medications to help my sciatica. The prices of these medications add up as well as the price of doctor visits. Quite frankly, if I did not have insurance, I would be up the creek without any paddle. If you are a Republican who does not have any health insurance, please add those figures up. If Obamacare has helped you in anyway, shape or fashion, you have Democrats to thank for that and NOT the TEA PARTY/REPUBLICANS to THANK for that.

Yet, yet, yet, I cannot understand Tea Party Republicans who wish to yank this new law away from so many helpless Americans. Why? Whose side are you on?

As for me, I will take my medications, rest, put heat on my back, go vote and come back and do so all over again. I am in a world of pain and I will vote Democrat! Thank you, President Barack Obama, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Leader Harry Reid.
