How to Have Peace

By Douglas g

A mind centered in the reality and awareness of existence, transformed from mindfulness and meditation, will realize that peace is something that can arise in ourselves so that we can work to help manifest it in the world.

"A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

Albert Einstein

It is a truism that in order to have peace in the world we must cultivate it in ourselves. In short, people with minds that are full of grasping, greed, hatred, and fear will manifest that vibrational energy around them.

The level of consciousness, or being, we have developed not only helps determine our actions and reactions, but also the relationships and environment we help manifest.

Still we must also recognize that humans, like all of life, don't exist in a vacuum. We exist as part of the whole and we are affected by our relationships. As we start to develop, however, an awareness of reality we will begin to recognize the importance of relationship and our role in the relationships of life.

A mind centered in the reality and awareness of existence, transformed from mindfulness and meditation, will realize that peace is something that can arise in ourselves so that we can work to help manifest it in the world.

The inner and outer man are not different, but a manifestation of energy arising from our intent and desires. But at a deeper level, there is the stillness or void which is the source of the energy and the inner and outer life. It is in reaching this stillness that Peace naturally arises within us. It is in reaching this stillness that Love too naturally arises within us.

Reaching this pure awareness, in which there is no movement or manifestations but a fullness of being, is the source of peace in ourselves and in the world. It is a state of no division, no separation, no systems, and no structures. Tapping into this zero point of awareness transforms our inner and outer world into a harmony of peaceful being.
