I interviewed Carol Rosenberg, who covers the Guantanamo beat for the Miami Herald, because of this article she wrote;

WikiLeaks: How U.S. tried to stop Spain's torture probe

concerted effort by Bush Diplomats to derail investigation of a Spanish Judge...
ambassador and other senior US diplomats...

Blathasar  Garzón is known as one of the most crusading human rights advocates in Europe-- called out arrest warrant for Pinochet

Spoke to Alberto Gonzalez

John Yoo responded by email.

Aguirrez, former Ambassador to Spain, refused to comment because of security.

As we read through wikileaks and I'm looking at them everyday and I am mindful of the argument that these could be a danger to national security.

Revelations are not of a national security nature, just how difficutlt guantanamo was for foreign policy...

There is someone in the wikileaks chain that is redacting...

What I think is striking about wikileaks is just how much information is marked secret or classified that feels like either gossip or information already in the public domain.

Put wikileaks into context.

Wikileaks is such a trove of information

We have reporters with a certain expertise, rather than trying to tackle the entire wikilikeaks probe, ".

When you take them and think about them and you reach out to the people involved... we learn a lot about mel Martinez role...

It's taking the thread and pulling it and asking the principal...

We have a sudden giant window into what diplomacy was trying to do at a certain period of time

Value of wikileaks
demystifies diplomacy a fair amount
In terms of Guantanamo it shows just what a struggle it is...
