W doesn't care about our boys and girls in the US military!

It is not only our poor soldiers in the US military stuck in Baghdad who are in more dangerous positions as a result of the "surge". Drawing troops from the other parts of Iraq to provide more troops for Baghdad has made the non-Baghdad parts of Iraq more insecure also, as there aren't enough troops to even protect themselves.

To "surge" into Baghdad W took troops out of other Iraq areas. W has allowed our troops in the remainder of the country become defenseless-therefore vulnerable to attack. The reduced troop levels outside Baghdad are more in danger-remember McCain's "whack-a-mole" theory of "Operation Iraqi Freedom". This described how the insurgents and terrorists would scurry for cover when one battlefront was made secure by the US, only to later emerge in a different part of Iraq. Wherever they have the best chance to kill and capture our boys and girls is where they will be.

This might be the week in which we'll see our soldiers tortured by terrorists, because W doesn't care about our boys and girls in the US military and hasn't paid attention to his military leaders, even Petraeus, who have said that the "surge" will result in more deaths for the US to mourn!
How exposed are the troops outside of Baghdad? The article "4,000 U.S. troops search for 3 missing soldiers" at

describes it as "On Friday, Maj. Gen. Benjamin R. Mixon, who commands American troops north of Baghdad, said he did not have enough troops to fight the insurgency in Diyala province,

which has become one of the most violent areas and among the deadliest for American forces.

On May 5, Maj. Gen. Rick Lynch, who oversees about 26,000 American forces in an area bounded by the Tigris and Euphrates rivers south of Baghdad, including Mahmoudiya and Youssifiyah, described the struggle in Iraq as "three-dimensional chess in the dark-and that's an understatement."

Who did it? "The Islamic State of Iraq, an umbrella insurgent group that includes al-Qaida in Mesopotamia, said it had captured the three missing Americans and claimed responsibility for the attack, which killed four other American soldiers and an Iraqi army soldier. The group offered no proof for its claims....
If history is any measure, the chances of the Americans surviving capture would be slim. The organization has claimed responsibility for many killings of prisoners."

It seems like they want revenge and for these dangerous people in a dangerous part of the world, considerations of trying prisoners humanely don't exist.

The article "Iraqi insurgents warn: Stop search for U.S. troops" at

states "Your soldiers are in our hands. If you want their safety, do not look for them," the Islamic State of Iraq said on a militant Web site.
"You should remember what you have done to our sister Abeer in the same area," the statement said, referring to five American soldiers who were charged in the rape and killing of 14-year-old Abeer Qassim al-Janabi and the killings of her parents and her younger sister last year. Three soldiers have pleaded guilty in the case - one of the most shocking atrocities committed by U.S. troops in the Iraq war."

Our troops could be posed in sexual positions, or forced to undergo water-boarding like the detainees at Abu Ghraib, and the US couldn't say a blessed thing because we've done the same! W has abandoned the moral higher ground that has always been synonymous to the US.

Who is the Islamic State of Iraq's intended audience for these crimes against humanity? Iraqis, including the Sunni insurgents and Shiite "Death Squads" have seen, and done, enough similar acts-so they aren't going to be influenced by this. No--the Islamic State of Iraq wants to scare us. They want us to be revolted enough by acts of inhumanity against our boys and girls that we get off our fat butts and demonstrate and protest as much as we did when Nixon prolonged our last experience in a quagmire.
