I was listening to Rush Limgaugh on my way home from work yesterday. I sometimes listen to see just what's up with the right. I'm usually not surprised at anything I hear him say, and yesterday was no exception. I get a kick out of his conspiracy rants and his warnings about how the liberals are going to ruin the country and how Bill Clinton is responsible for almost every problem that we have today. I don't believe that a day goes by when he doesn't mention the USS Cole. I know that the Cole incident was a tragedy, but I don't blame Clinton directly for it. The Navy at the time knew full well that there were terrorists operating in the area, and chose to refuel in that port. Was the President supposed to know where every ship in every fleet is going to refuel every day of the week? I don't think so.

I heard him use that "Lib" tag again yesterday. "The Libs know what they are doing. The Libs are responsible for the drive-by media attacks." What the hell is a "Drive-by" media attack? He defends the Administration from the "Libs" and their incessant attacks on the President as if he doesn't remember how Bill Clinton was hounded by every right wing investigator from the time that he announced his candidacy to the day he left office and beyond. Clinton was actually impeached for having consensual sex with a woman of legal age, while this President has discarded Habeus Corpus, illegally wiretapped American Citizens, disregarded the law with almost every bill he has signed into law with over 423 "signing statements" that just about line item vetoes any part of the law that he doesn't agree with, started a war in Iraq that was based on lies and suppositions, which turned out to be totally fabricated, and changed the reason we went to war in Iraq countless times.

Besides what the President has done, the Congress has failed to raise the minimum wage from $5.15, a wage that was put in place in 1997, and given the military a whopping 2.2% pay raise that doesn't even keep pace with the cost of living. Congress failed to adequately fund body armor for our troops. The Army failed to secure hundreds of munitions depots that they found packed with ammunition and explosive ordinance on their "rush to capture Baghdad" which, by the way, still isn't secure after three years of occupation by US Forces. The military disbanded the Iraqi police and Army and Fire Departments, and let Iraq drift off into a civil war that they still won't admit to, even though estimates from different organizations have put the deaths of Iraqi citizens at between 300,000 and 600,000. They have tried to cover all of this up. There is so much more. Congressional scandals, Abramoff, Foley. Cheney, shooting his Doctor friend in the face and leaving before the police arrived, the Valerie Plame outing, The "Hammer" Tom Delay resigning because of allegations of misconduct, and is now facing criminal charges. I can go on, and on, and on.

So Rush, this is all the Libs fault, right? This is what the "Socialist Libs" have wrought on our country, right? The wonderful Republican Party had no part in all of this, just because they control the House, The Senate, and The Presidency and pretty well have the Supreme Court locked up, they had nothing to do with all of this, right? This is just a "scheme" made up by the "Libs" to discredit the wonderful things that our President and his party have done for us. Things like giving us those great tax cuts, where I got $300.00 off my bill, and a millionaire like you got hundreds of thousands of dollars off of your taxes. That's a great deal Rush, and if I were you, I'd be happy too. That will buy a lot of oxycontin to take that "edge" off.

You are a fraud, and an apologist for the worst administration since Richard Nixon. In fact, maybe even worse than Nixon. I have to hand it to you though; you have either the most loyal audience in the world, or the biggest collection of fools that have been assembled since the height of the third Reich. Even though the Republicans have controlled the government, lock, stock, and barrel for the last six years, you have still managed to blame it on the liberals. I believe that you aren't so smart, it's just that your audience is so bigoted and inured to blaming liberals for everything that goes wrong in this country that they agree with everything you say. All I know is the liberals have had NO power for the last six years. The War, the Immigration fiasco with two million illegals coming over the border every year, the troops spending their second and third tours in Iraq, all of it, you Republicans own. Now why don't you just get the hell out of the way, and let us liberals put this country back together again.

By the way, I almost forgot, Rush mentioned that Michael J. Fox did an ad for a politician, I can't remember who he said it was, on World Series air time. He said that Fox was showing symptoms that he was "Exaggerating" for the cameras. What a terrible thing to comment on. We all know that Fox has Parkinson's and that he is fighting for stem cell research, and righfully so. This shows what a disgusting a dispassionate person Limbaugh really is. He will say and do anything to advance the NeoCon agenda. Personally, I think he is a disgrace to legitimate political commentators
