A short burst on Bush's Alcoholism, including Dry drunk syndrome.

George's behavior is more clearly defining his mental capacity and probable degeneration.

"Go fuck yourselves?" That's a hell of a way for the "Chief Executive" to address the people who are, no doubt, busting their collective ass to protect their boss from blowing his own foot off, or cramming it whole into his mouth. Sort of like Dick Cheney's telling Senator Leahey to "go f*ck himself."

Hardly the sort of dialogue you want to hear from the guy who's spastic thumb is on the "button." Fact is though, George behaved this way long before he showed up at the White House looking for a handout. In a drunken stupor, he threatened his own father with a bout of fisticuffs which I'd bet Old George would have won. One thing about George, he's forever let his mouth write checks his ass can't cash.
My Dad used to refer to such mopes as "alliganaries." That would be someone with an alligator mouth and a canary ass.

George is well known among acquaintances for his sophomoric behavior and being really only interested in a "good time." With as little irritation from reality as possible. He's never been a particularly scholarly fellow, and about as sophisticated as an empty Jim Beam bottle. In short, George could, really, be described by the nomenclature, "mental midget."

These are also signs of intracranial pathology as well. People who are trying desperately to remain off alcohol and\or drugs have bouts of such anger because the liquor and medications were once the only rope they had to hang onto in times of stress. Despite the factual data that clearly obviates that he isn't the president, he believes he is, and there probably isn't a more stressful job on the planet. Nary a president has, to date, left office with the same hair color he went in with.

Seems the First Lady caught George dumping a drink or two after Katrina. This would bode ill for Mr. Bush, not that there aren't several alcoholics that have occupied this office before him like Harry Truman, who started each day with a load of bourbon, and floated off to work. On the other hand if a person suffers some form of encephalopathy secondary to alcoholism that impairs their ability to do their jobs, and/or spoils relationships, this person is clearly in trouble. All barbs and such aside, George has long been suspected of "Dry Drunk Syndrome" by several physicians, most neurologists and psychiatrists. A situation that presents when a patient that, though has abstained from the drinking aspect of alcoholism, has not reached the point where he or she demonstrates behavior associated with being sober. Mrs. Bush has advised him without equivocation that the booze would go, or she would.

There are certain medications that can assist people who've fallen off the wagon though therapy for this also involves counseling and other forms of intervention. To deal with the alcohol, there are acetaldehyde inhibitors which cause the person to become physically ill with nausea and vomiting following ingestion of Ethanol, or booze. Disulphiram and Naltrexone are such medications.

Further, since alcohol is a carbohydrate, and Vitamin B-1 is necessary for the metabolisation of all carbohydrates, most notably, in this case, in the brain, and the brain is ABSOLUTELY OXYGEN AND GLUCOSE (simplest carbohydrate) dependent. Thiamine is necessary for the brain to utilize glucose, and alcohol interferes with gastric uptake of Vitamin B-1, or Thiamine causing Alcoholic encephalopathy or Wernike's encephalopathy, and/or Korsakoff's syndrome. Many of the signs George are defined in these two encephalopathies. This is not to suggest he suffers from either. It may just be that his self control skills are pathetic. If his physicians haven't already discussed these issues, it's time. Especially as things are becoming monumentally worse for him and without doubt will get worse.

Given the position the man holds, such behavior isn't tolerable. He has control over the most powerful forces on earth. Hopefully, his aides would prevent him from doing something stupid, but if this nation is ever to begin to recover from the Bush Family and it's many interventions, all bad, in US politics and such, then clearly if George is suffering from substance abuse, including cocaine, and the residuals of, then he clearly may not exercise the powers of his office. Well, the office he holds anyway.

If the American people cannot trust the George's behavior, then by law and the Constitution, he can and should be replaced.
