The US flooded Iraq with all this stuff while American workers were trying to find ways to make ends meet at home. Not to mention the poor Iraqis with crap they couldn't use or had money to pay for.
Funny, the republicans and republicrats should get within a hundred miles of the word "regulate." The republicans have deregulated industry and the same things that happened in the twenties are happening today.
Further, the US has never played fair in the so called "global" market because without cheap labor, no taxes, no impediments such as labor laws or environmental law, the US doesn't know how to play and flatly cannot compete. Well, fairly anyway. Seems, now, that America can't even compete in a corrupt manner.
Think it's a joke?, just walk through Walmart, take your time, and mosey through all the departments and check to see where all these products are made. You'll find China at the top of the list. This is not to berate China for having a way to kick the US in the ass, which it is long overdue, for they're just playing the same game the US WAS and and winning. This is not to say that Americans, who have a penchant for always blaming someone else for their problems, won't curse those chinks for undermining our great country's economy with all their junk!! Were I Chinese, I'd be laughing my ass off just about now. "We beat the American's at their own game!!! BWaaaahaaahaaaaa!!!!! Hey! Ling Chang!!!!, bring me another bottle of champagne!!!!
