If you missed Keith Olbermann ripping George Bush another new one last night on "Countdown," you missed a heart-pounding five minutes of truth-telling to power.
Bush's lying about the possibility of withdrawing troops during a sham photo-op in Iraq, and once again using our G.I.s as p.r. fodder got Olbermann's attention, big time!
Rob's 'lame stream press' pounced on this with banner headlines, while NEVER mentioning this irony of ironies: Bush's lying about the possibly of bringing some of our servicemen home in the near future, occurred on the very same day that a review of Robert Draper's new book "Dead Certain" came out.
Bush told the author that he, Bush, is "PLAYING for October or November" to get Republican candidates to endorse his stay-the-course policy in Iraq, and the insanity of leaving our soldiers there in what amounts to perpetuity.
Going for the jugular, after calling Bush a liar, which he doesn't dance around with nicey-nice words like obfuscate, fabricate and prevaricate, Olbermann called, yet again for Bush to resign, and reiterated that Congress should begin impeachment prodeedings against him.
You can bet that if Olbermann weren't bound by FCC rules he would have been calling Bush a mother f*cking, goddamn mother f*cking liar. Oh, to have been a ladybug on the wall when he was writing that scathing opinion piece.
Unfortunately, Olbermann's transcript won't be up for another three hours, so I'm having to do this from the memory of watching it twice, and I'm doing a lot of paraphrasing, all the while hoping, hope after hope, that another heat-induced power failure doesn't happen.
"Dead Certain" is dead certainly right.

Olbermann closed with saying that we can be "certain" that some of the brave young men standing behind Bush would be dead by the end of the year -- or next month -- if we allow Bush to continue on his insane course in Iraq.
