Bush: The Last Person You'd Want at Your Child's Funeral

George Bush would be the last person in the world I'd want at a memorial service if my child had been a Virginia Tech victim.

This is the man who sent more than 3,300 troops to their deaths in Iraq, and won't allow photographs to be taken of their coffins coming home.

This is the man who hasn't attended one serviceman's funeral, but he certainly uses the living ones as political photo-op fodder at every manufactured event he can think up.

Bush would be well advised to show some of his "compassion" for the soldiers he's injured who've been treated misserably and additionally harmed by inadequate veteran's medical facilities.

Chutzpah on top of a stupid lie was Bush's answer to a query about gun control by saying this is a time of mourning; there's plenty of time to have that discussion.

He brought it up first on the day of the shooting through his press spokeswoman Dana Perino.  At the opening of the press briefing she volunteered that gun owners were safe...not to worry.

Who needs a man to shed false tears at your kid's memorial service when he didn't give a rat's ass about all the Katrina victims.  In his feeble mind gun ownership outranks water.

He can drop everything to follow the rest of the politicians to Virginia, or to zip back to D.C. to sign Terri Schiavo legislation, but not sign stem cell legislation that might someday help some of those injured by the gunman's bullets.

Since when did NBC's Brian Williams become an apologist for Bush?  Williams said Bush is aware that the chaos of security and motorcades goes with him where ever he goes.

Bull!  There's no chaos in the air over a natural disaster, that he couldn't have inspected from a low-flying helicopter immediately after the damn burst in New Orleans.

Just as on 9/11, he sat on his hands instead of responding immediately.

This is a man who has no respect for anyone other that those of political and religious like-mindedness.  And, we're not even sure of that since we've heard some of the malicious things his staffers have said about Bush's hard core religious supports.

On the day of the massacre he had the colossal nerve to say that he and Laura will pray for the victims and their families as will some Americans.

Tell us, George.  Who are the "some" Americans who won't pray for them.  The Catholics?  The Jews?  The Buddists?  The Islamists?  Or will the only one sending out prayers be the ones who march to your religious views.

Wanting Bush to show some real compassion is a fruitless as chasing wisps of smoke.  Even if he were capable of having some real feelings, I probably wouldn't believe it; I can only be fooled once, but this guy never fooled me.
