Have you noticed the Gas Price Rise?

Don't look now, but gas prices are coming up again. Oh, it's true. Just yesterday as I was heading to my harp lesson, I saw that the price for regular unleaded had climbed from a low of $1.92 per gallon back up to $1.99 per gallon. Oh, and it's not like the seeds of the reason for this hadn't been planted. About two or three weeks ago, supposedly OPEC wanted to cut supply in order to raise the price of crude. The market did react, and crude oil prices went up slightly. However, there was no corresponding increase in the price of gas at the pump. As a matter of fact, it dropped mysteriously from $1.97 per gallon to $1.93, where it remained for a little while before dropping to its lowest level, $1.92. The last I heard, OPEC was not united on wanting to cut production. As a matter of fact, some members were railing against the idea since oil was selling at a really nice clip, and profits while not as high as they had been, were still high enough to keep everyone happy. Now I admit that I haven't watched the news for the past few days. I could have missed a story that told me that OPEC had finally come together, and was dropping production to raise prices. However, I do check my email every day, and by doing so, I check Yahoo News to see what's happening. While Yahoo news has been a little lax in keeping up with who's telling tales out of school with Foleygate, they have pretty much kept up on the gas price story. I haven't seen the word "OPEC" in some time. My assumption was that the organization was still in a bit of disarray, and therefore, gas prices were safe, for the most part anyway. My assumption remains that this is the case, since OPEC really doesn't have that much to do with the final price of gas at the pump. That is a product of price manipulation on the part of the Oil Pigs, and their obsequious political whores, the Republican Party. As a matter of fact, I made a prediction of the coming rise in gas prices in my article entitled, Have you noticed the Gas Price Drop?, http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_robert_r_060914_have_you_noticed___a.htm You watch, either way the mid-term elections go, you can bet that oil and gas prices will find a way to start rising some time after November. The hope is, if the Democrats do take over the Senate, this time around, there will be a real investigation of the shenanigans pulled by the Oil Pigs. Well, I was off a little bit on the timing, but I was right by saying the prices would come back up again. It's fairly safe for the Oil Pigs to start jacking up the price of gas at this point because Americans are too caught up in other things to think about it. After all, Christmas advertising is already hitting the airwaves, and it's not even Halloween yet. Sheesh! So, to anyone who doubted my words about the manipulation of fuel prices, let me say this: "I TOLD YOU SO!" Strangely, for once, I wasn't the only one thinking along these lines. Just a few days ago, there was a poll put out by the local ABC affiliate here in Dallas. The question was, "do you believe that gas prices have been manipulated?" In what I found to be a rather stunning, yet completely telling response, 68% of the respondents said they believed that gas prices were being manipulated. Well, for those 68%, I now offer you even more proof. Gas prices are on the rise, and as of yet, there has been no explanation given in the media as to why that is. Oh, and don't go looking for one anytime soon. That's not to say there won't be excuses or lies about why gas prices are going back up. You can bet any part of your anatomy you wish there will, in fact, be many cover stories and fabrications as to the increase at the pump. However, they won't be explanations at all. They will be what they have always been, lies, fabrications, distortions, and attempts to hide the truth about the situation. What is the truth? The Oil Pigs and the Republican Party are in collusion with each other to continue the raping of the wallet of the common man. Gas prices fell so that they would no longer be an issue in the upcoming midterms. Now that it is clear the likelihood is high that the Democrats are going to take over at least the House, there is no more reason for the ruse to continue. The Republicans want to take the last bit of money they can grab from the Oil Pigs before they are out on their collective asses. So, it's Katy, bar the door! If one is to read between the political lines here, the story is quite clear. Gas prices came down to eliminate a concern from the ever-troubled minds of voters. At the time, the idea worked perfectly. However, in the mean time, other issues arose which were of even more import, and more concern. Issues such as Foleygate, the continuing saga of the Abramoff Scandal and its victims, David Kou's book slamming DUBYA and Hot Karl, and a few others have come down the pike to completely overshadow the price of gas at the pump. And, with the biggest concern being Iraq, it's abundantly clear no one gives a sh*t about the price of fuel any longer. So why not crank the price up again? It's a non-issue. The Republicans are feeling the heat, and they want their last pound of flesh before they are forced out the door. The Oil Pigs have been forced to only drive the Bentley instead of the Rolls, and they are wanting back into that full-fledged luxury. I can't wait to hear this latest round of "reasons" for the gas price increase. Oh, I'm sure the oldies but goodies will be topping the hit parade, along with the presumptive a**holes telling us there is more to gas prices than supply and demand. I'm also sure there will be plenty of intellectually numbing bovine excrement spewed at the American public as well in attempts to get us back into line, and paying exorbitant prices for our daily fuel fix. Ah, America: the land of the free, and the home of the easily hoodwinked. Well, maybe not this time. Blessed be! Pappy
