How To Regain Our Freedom Forever! Part I of Two Parts

I have not seen anything, anywhere about the real problem in our society, of which Bush is only a symptom. True, a symptom worse than intestinal flu, but still only a symptom

The real problem is more fundamental than an evil; it is the root of ALL-evil. It is money and what it does to people. The following is from an article by Philip Greenspan, Legislative Process In The US Two-Party System:
(Swans - July 19, 2004) "Last week, like millions of others, I saw Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11. Two distressing legislative events depicted in it reminded me of various anecdotal incidents that epitomize the sterility of the political system.

The first of the Fahrenheit 9/11 events was the joint session of Congress where the 2000 electoral votes were counted. Al Gore officiated as the theft of the presidency that should have been his was confirmed with his acquiescence. One black congressman after another objected to what everyone knew was a blatant Banana Republic coup. The wimp, as protocol required, overruled each one. All that was needed to add a little drama to the ceremony was for just one of the supposedly liberal democratic senators to step forward and object. Where was the political opposition to show that they don't condone fraud in what is alleged to be a democracy?

The second disgrace was John Conyers's response to how the infamous Patriot Act could have been so promptly enacted. That liberal and long-time representative frankly admitted, We don't read most of the bills we pass."

And they are right, they don’t read them and for that reason alone, they should be censured. What in the Hell, do they think they are supposed to be they doing accepting a position of such awesome responsibility, if not reading proposed legislation? Why do they think we sent them there? How ludicrously, dishonest and incompetent is that? Talk about malfeasance, misfeasance, criminal behavior and betrayal of trust. They saddled America with totalitarian laws they never bothered to read? If not they, then who was/is protecting the Republic? Even having read them, however, judging by the quality of intellectualism and altruism among some of them, I doubt it would have made any difference, they probably would not have understood what they were reading.

We need to stop electing people who are in this for the money. We need to stop electing people not so very bright, and stop electing people who are Avaricious. We need to test them psychologically, test their veracity, their intelligence, their morality, and I don’t mean the sexual preferences or practices, I mean their degree of altruism. Are such tests available? If we can land on the moon, create the Internet and Email; we can devise such tests if they are not.

We have limits such as age and citizenship, to qualify one to run for national office, but none for intelligence? How stupid is that? So, now we have a president so bereft of both morality and intelligence that he is Howdy-Doody, but not even a stringed puppet like the original but a hand puppet for sinister, cynical demoniacs. IQ tests are certainly available. So are morality tests, and again I do not mean tests for sexuality, but for avarice. Read the prophets, Jesus, and John 4:4-42.

Eddie Murphy made a movie, which epitomizes that genre of applicant for public office, called, The Distinguished Gentleman. Rent it or buy it and you will agree, I think, that things in D. C. are not far from the ideas expressed in that film, wherein Murphy, who runs a phone sex line and other scams, has the same name as a WASP candidate, and so never shows his face until he has won the election. Then the fun starts. Frank Capra made a much earlier film, which I saw as a boy, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, during the reign of our savior from fascism in the 1930’s FDR. It made a huge impression on everyday Americans, but apparently made little impression on those in Public office. Both of these films should be force-fed to anyone running for public office.

Love of money is the root of all-evil. GW Bush is a symbol, much more evident than his icon of devotion, the Red on white, Crooked Cross.

We need to take the money out of the way of government elected office and with it those who go to Washington to make more money. We need to end Lobbying, not revise it.

We need, finally to heed Republican Patriot and President, General Dwight D. Eisenhower, who said, to JFK and the nation, at JFK’s inaugaration, “…Beware the Military Industrial Complex…,” and General Douglas Macarthur, who said, “…Billionaire, Conservative Japanese and German Industrialists lobbied and agitated for World War II…”

We need to outlaw lobbying and making it anathema, and its penalty should be the only crime punishable by Exile on the books.

We need an amendment to the Constitution, which outlaws any sort of lobbying by Corporations or any other entity.

We need to prosecute those, who now have influenced politicians with any sort of favor, whatsoever. We need to take away from the very wealthy, influence peddling, and access to public office for the edification of the bank accounts of their supporters.

We need to make any amount over $1,000.00 subject to bidding by at least five companies and we need to confiscate all the moneys No-Bid to companies, Contractors in Iraq or New Orleans or anywhere else.

We need to confiscate the money and prosecute the perpetrators and render them bankrupt.
