Dear Cindy,

It has always been up to the people to say NO to the CorporaState. Unfortunately, Americans tend to be too trusting of government and corporations. Americans believed the cloying words that spoke honor and freedom; those words were intended to deceive; how can you steal from the people if they don't trust you? Words are cheap bait.

For longer than you have been active, for longer than most Americans even imagine, the process of converting Americans into serfs has continued; rhetoric and misdirection are two of their tools. “Peace' now means 'war' and 'freedom' translates as 'perpetual serfdom.' Political rhetoric is the ultimate weapon of mass destruction. You have discovered that the Democratic Party has colluded, crossing boundaries of party; that has been true for many years. The concentration of money and power made corruption inevitable.

That is why small government and local control are the only viable alternatives; with less to steal less is at risk. Correction is less costly and beta testing new approaches does not put all of us at risk. Power to the people means keeping the control local with full accountability in place. The last thing government officials want is to be accountable for what they do. That is why we need to insist accountability be installed.

Those 'serving' in Congress have been consistent in their actions over the last several generations. Congress became a sure bet for the avidly rapacious generations ago. Where else can a down at the heels political wanna be get to play Lord of the Manor and be accorded the title of 'Honorable' with so little reason? The only logical and rational approach when dealing with those serving us up to Corporate greed is to assume those in power are corrupt. The exceptions to that rule are few, including Ron Paul and a scant handful of others.

Those who rub up against the money those corporations steal through their unholy alliance with government began before we had corporations. They started before America was founded or the principles of inherent rights that preexist government were even enunciated. It started with the Salem Witch Craft Trials. The accusation of witchcraft was a capital offense; asset forfeiture took place immediately, pocketed directly by the accusers. The descendants remember, remaining leery of authority, in Church or government.

Given the nasty propensities of human nature the present level of corruption should surprise no one.

We need another revolution, or to continue the one we never finished. Let's consider the action from 1775 – 1787 the first round. We won the fight, lost when the Constitution was ratified without including women and blacks as having inherent God-given rights. There have been battles since; Abolition, Suffrage, the slow strangling of hope in all directions can bring tears to eyes that see.
