Here are what some critics have to say:
--Randi Rhodes, Air America
"One of those rare creatures in modern media: A Sept. 11 study stripped of politics and partisanship. It's the anti-'Fahrenheit 9/11'!"
--Paul F.P. Pogue, NUVO Newsweekly
"The story of the Jersey widows and their struggle for the truth deserves to be heard."
--Larisa Alexandrovna, RawStory.com
-- Scott Horton, Antiwar.com
"I'm actually shaking from not only the emotional impact but also the thought that the people of the United States might see it... Every high school, college and university should have a copy of this documentary... It is imperative that the world know the truth about 9/11."
--Bob McIlvaine, Lost son Bobby on 9/11
Here's what the producers say:
"9/11: Press for Truth," a feature-length documentary featuring prominent voices from the families of the 9/11 victims and their fight against the administration to force an investigation is soon to be released on DVD and into theaters nationwide.
In the film, the families claim the 9/11 Report produced by the official 9/11 Commission is full of half-truths and that the Commission failed to answer most of the questions posed by the families' Steering Committee, a group set up to monitor the investigation. The film not only portrays the dissatisfaction with what Bob McIlvaine, who lost his son Bobby, calls a "cover-up", but it also sheds critical light on the media which the families suggest failed to connect the dots or ask the toughest of the tough questions.
"9/11 Press For Truth" follows the families as they confront the administration's attempts to avoid scrutiny and compromise the investigation. The film deftly follows several timeline "threads" to effectively challenge the official narrative offered Americans regarding pre-9/11 warnings, the search for Bin Laden and the money trail. The film's underlying thesis, that the official mythology of 9/11 is a multi-faceted lie and that that there has been a broad cover-up, is inspired by Thompsons book "The Terror Timeline," which pieces together stories from over 7000 mainstream media sources that, in context, paint a very different picture of the event that forever changed the world.
Here is what one of the widows says:
"They lied. They all lied."
--Patty Casazza (one of the 'Jersey Girls')
