"For what it's worth," is actually the title of Buffalo Springfield's definitive 1967 anti-war anthem, which works perfectly as the intro to the 'piece' I'm about to write.

"For What It's Worth," is the best I can do to begin. For I offer nothing concrete, nothing based on fact, nothing of substance. Just a bizarre observation of something really, really strange.

Let's begin with the famous lyrics to the great Buffalo Springfield song, paying particular attention to the familiar first lines:

THERE'S SOMETHING HAPPENING HERE

WHAT IT IS AINT' EXACTLY CLEAR
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware
I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind
I think it's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side
It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away

We better stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, now, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

The truth is, something strange IS happening here. And it isn't particularly clear...

Now....

Am I the only one who finds it odd that in the very same week when one famous Don was toppled by his use of the word "ho," another famous Don, bearing the name of Ho, was also taken down? When famed singer Don Ho sadly passed away?

I'm telling you, folks, "there's something happening here. And "what it is ain't exactly clear."

So what conclusions can be drawn from all this? I have absolutely NO IDEA. Except that there were two Dons. Both famous. Both with legions of fans.

One Don suffered a bad heart. One Don suffers a mad heart. One Don bore the name "Ho." One Don swore the word "ho."  And now both Dons are gone.

Any further conclusions are entirely up to you...
