Hillary Clinton lied about getting off a plane in Bosnia in 1996 and having to duck under sniper fire?
I'm shocked; shocked to find Hillary lied! Oh, sorry, "mis-spoke!"
What's the difference between Hillary and Bill? Nothing; except Bill did it with a lot more charm!
I started out this process being quite "pro Hillary" and thinking that she'd make a great president (and that it was about time this country had a woman president). I've followed and studied politics for many years, both here and in Europe, but I cannot really remember a more egregious lie by a politician, running for office. Here's a woman who says one day that she "remembers clearly" getting off a plane in Bosnia in 1996 and having to duck to avoid incoming sniper fire as she got off the plane, and when, as undoubtedly would inevitably happen, she's shown to be a complete liar, and is walking off the plane with her daughter Chelsea, on the day in question, the next day she says she "mis-spoke!"
I am simply in awe of such chutzpah!
An incident where one claims to remember clearly that one got off a plane with one's own daughter, and came under sniper fire, is an incident that, if true, would sear itself into one's memory, like where you were on 9/11, or where you were when Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas! A frightening and personally memorable traumatic event indeed. To say nothing of the fact that we would all have heard about it at the time (and long afterwards, too!) Then, when it is revealed that nothing of the sort actually happened, she says she "mis-spoke!" Well, the inevitable conclusion here is, either she suffers from mental delusions where she is convinced something actually happened that didn't, like a person who is suffering from early dementia (the charitable explanation, like Ronald Reagan's claim to have fought in World War II, instead of just acting in films about it), or, she is an outright liar (and stupid to boot, because to lie about something that can easily and readily be disproved, is just that - plain stupid!), which seems to be the actual case here.
For many years I have vehemently argued against those who called Hillary and Bill deceptive, conniving, lying, duplicitous and completely power hungry, who would stop at nothing to win. Now I owe those who have continually opined that Hillary may even be "worse" than Bill in the deceptive, conniving, lying, duplicitous and completely power hungry departments, a sincere apology.
I had a certain sympathy with Bill, wagging his finger, and saying "I never had sex with that woman..." That's what men do when they get caught with their pants down around their ankles! But I have absolutely no sympathy with any candidate who outright lies about a dangerous situation that NEVER actually happened! And the snide innuendos of the two of them against Obama, ("Jessie Jackson also won South Carolina"; "If John McCain and Hillary were to be running against each other, it would be great, because you'd have two patriotic people who really love this country" [unlike that Obama chap!], "Both John McCain and I are fit to be Commander in Chief," [unlike that Obama chap!] etc,) combined with this latest example of a completely egregious lie, sadly lead me to the conclusion that it should be a cold day in Hell before this woman should ever become president!
