Proof abounds that the Bush administration manufactured intelligence to fit a long-sought plan for the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq, but this Congress has ignored it.
Mr. Bush's Buffalo speech of April 20th, 2004 (where he spoke of the need to adhere to the Constitution even while tracking down terrorists, insisting that warrants were necessary for wiretaps "because we value the Constitution") was laid bare as yet another pack of presidential lies by the exposure of his illegal warrantless wiretap program in December 2005.
Perhaps most egregiously, this president has claimed the authority to ignore any law by issuing a simple signing statement (which he has done some 750 times) saying the law will be interpreted consistent with his "inherent constitutional authority" as head of the "Unitary Executive Branch" of government.
No man, not even the president, is above the law.
We would all do well to actually read the Declaration of Independence, taking particular note of the stunning parallels between England's King George and the George of today, who would like nothing more than to be King of America:

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.
He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.
He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.
He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation [among other examples]:
For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury.
For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences.
