With the commemoration of Martin Luther King's birthday just a few short weeks away, I thought you might me interested what a rewrite of his most famous speech might look like if it were done by those in power today.
Enjoy!
Sincerely,

"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the
true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that
all [Christian Republican] men are created equal [as equal as
their net worth and country club memberships will allow]."
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia; [in the Rust
Belt of Ohio] the sons of former slaves [small business owners] and the
sons of former slave owners [factory workers] will be able to sit down
together at the [unemployment office] table of brotherhood.
I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state [Note:
sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression,
will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
The state of Mississippi has been deleted from the United States by FEMA since
Hurricane Katrina]
I have a dream that my four little children [heirs] will one
day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin
[Mercedes] but by the content of their character [stock portfolios].
I have a dream today!
And this will be the day -- this will be the day when all of God's [unaborted] children will be able [required] to sing
with new meaning:
My country 'tis of thee [for me],
sweet land of liberty [domestic surveillance and wiretaps], of thee I
sing.
Land where my [your sons and daughters continue to die to maintain my
fathers
lifestyle], land of the Pilgrim's [fundamentalist Christian] pride,
From every
[strip mined] mountainside, let freedom [free trade] ring!
