to comment on the message from the former Republican
in Alaska http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_d__j__da_060713_confessions_of_a_for.htm I understand your discouragement and I thank you for
having the fortitude to change your outlook when you
realized that your political world view was
disfunctional. One way we know we are alive and
functioning in this world is when we can change course
and move in another direction.
But please do not fail to vote. By voting, even if
you believe the system is corrupted, there is the
possibility that you can join others in challenging
the system, demanding a recount or change, and
hopefully (if Bobby Kennedy and Mike Popantonio are
successful) join a class action lawsuit against the
voting machine manufacturers.
But only those who have been harmed by the system, and
have a stake in the outcome, will be able to do this.

Wonderful work, Joan. I see that of these leaders we've had Rep. Conyers, Mark Crispin Miller, Steven Freeman, Brad Freeman, and Greg Palast on our show ... and I remember hearing you chime in, too! Keep up the good work. I'm sure the Kennedy piece got more buzz than anything: As Barry and Freeman said on the show last week, it all adds up; hopefully, we'll reach the critical mass to move public opinion at large.
I then wrote for permission to post the comment and asked how Doug wanted to be identified, e.g., dd from California, Doug D., whatever). This was his prompt reply:
Joan, Barry and I would be flattered if you included my remarks in your
collection; and please do identify me completely: Douglas Drenkow, Producer,
"Barry Gordon From Left Field" (and if you could include a link to
http://www.barrygordonfromleftfield.com that'd be even better ;) You surely
do keep the pot stirred -- good for you!
And to top it off, today's lawsuit by Mike Papantonio/RFK, Jr.'s firm against the voting machine companies. Praise God. RLM, author and activist, Connecticut
Thank you so much for sending me this. Are you a League of Women Voters member? I would like this posted on several League sites; may I have your permission?
