The two long clips from Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.' sermons heard and seen on Friday's PBS's Bill Moyers Journal knocked the socks off and brought tears of gratitude to the eyes of this OpEdNews writer, who has written thirteen articles on condemnations of the U.S. government by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. that the media buries away from public awareness.

Seems that in Rev. Wright we finally have someone who could pick up Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.' mantle.

Looking beyond whatever the war and international predatory capitalism promoting conglomerates do to Obama's candidacy by continuing to pull out of context Rev. Wright's "God Damn! America" without the long and eloquent history of governments that failed, which preceded the "Damn!" and the detailed "for" which followed and qualified the "Damn!", the best antidote for corporate media's poison would be to quote some equally out of context condemnations from Rev. King Jr.' "Beyond Vietnam" speech at Riverside Church in New York.

Shock everyone! Then put the full surrounding text in both Rev. King Jr.' and Rev. Wright's sermons out in every single dissident, progressive, Democratic and honest Republican source of journalism and talk media.

Let the full texts of those two clips of Rev. Wright's sermons, which must have electrified the modest amount of viewers watching Bill Moyers' show yesterday, be known to as many voters as possible.

Anyone with me on this?

Let's face it, the politically monolithic in-lock-step media corporations have the power to either sink Obama's candidacy or to favor its success. Tempering our indignation at the over-the-top media scamming of news and history, muzzling our non-capitalist commentary on the subject of Rev. Wright and postponing expressing our gratitude and support for Rev. Wright until after the convention and election, will not necessarily help Obama.

Stealing, murder, media misuse and the lying government that permits, even fosters it, should be condemned and damned in a loud voice in churches on Sundays, just as Rev. King Jr. and Rev. Wright did.

Readers who missed the telecast can click on Rev. Wright on Bill Moyers Journal
and can read and copy it by clicking on transcript:

For a comparison to Rev. King Jr., click on "Beyond Vietnam – A Time to Break Silence" for the complete text and audio of Martin Luther King's speech exactly one year to the day before he was gunned down.

That the FCC, FEC, and Congress protect the public from deceitful use of the nation's leased airwaves!
