Article: It's Time to Act; Drastic Times Call for Drastic Measures

How do politicians live with themselves? How do they sleep at night knowing that this make believe world they talk about doesn't even exist? How can they trot out in front of the cameras and promise things to people that they have no intention of ever trying to keep? What is it that makes the most idealistic person turn into a back-stabbing liar the minute they get to Washington? Except for a few in Congress, the majority have nothing that can be described as empathy with their fellow Americans. They don't seem to think the way we do, they don't see the things we do, and left in Washington for any length of time, they develop a way of taking that allows them to respond for ten minutes to a question without ever once coming close to what was asked. This has been going on for years and the American people seem to be fine with it.

I'm not fine with it. I don't like Barack Obama, I don't like Hillary Clinton and I don't need the goddamned Mainstream Media shoving them down my throat as if they are the only two that could possibly win the Democratic nomination for President. The are both corporate run entities that have not in any way demonstrated that they can do anything but pander for the MSM and never once have they taken a firm stand on anything including the war in Iraq. They are not liberals by any stretch of the imagination, and the way I see it, most people in this country are finally waking up to the fact that there is something very wrong with the politics of this country.

People all over the political spectrum, and it is not just Liberals and Progressives, are realizing that nothing we say matters. Even the Conservative web sites, people that have some common sense are realizing that these politicians are not representing the people, they are representing the corporations. I found out a few years ago just how everything really worked. When I tried to start the Liberal Party of America I found out the complexity of getting someone's name on a ticket and registering a political party. I found out how much money it takes to accomplish that. It made me research political campaign funding to see how these people could amass the tens of millions of dollars to run a political campaign. I found out about the corporate contributions. It all came to a realization that corporate interests control the politics in the United States. The McCain-Fiengold Law was just pablum thrown out to the people to get them to shut up. It has never worked, and won't ever work in the future. Watch McCain himself refuse to use public funds for his presidential campaign under the provisions of the very bill he helped write! That one act of refusing public funds will show this nation what a lying bunch of pretenders we have running our government.

This will again come down to voting for the lesser of two evils. Will I vote for Hillary or McCain? What a dismal choice. It will be business as usual. All of the freedom that we have lost will still be lost, maybe forever. Big brother is here. What do we do, buy rifles and sit on rooftops? Not yet, but if they think that the Muslims raised in a desert land with hardly any education can give the Army a headache, think of what we could do. Should we start civil disobedience? How about a general strike? These are things that we need to consider, because working within the system is just not an option anymore.

I believe that a the time for civil disobedience is here. Our founding fathers said that if the government ceases to work for the people, than that government should be changed. This government clearly is not working in the peoples best interests. I have just about given up trying to write congressmen and trying to change them with the arguments in my writing. They are not listening. The war rages on, the MSM, controlled by corporate interests are picking our elected officials. The freedoms that we lost with the insidious Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act and the recent changes to the Insurrection Act have demonstrated that this government, including Congress and the Judiciary for not striking down these nefarious acts, are in reality, all culpable in our loss of freedom.

We have nothing left but civil disobedience. March 27th there will be another March on Washington. It will not be covered by the MSM and most of the people in this nation will never know just how many people converge on Washington. What they will understand however, that when the people leave Washington and drive 40 MPH on the Interstates after the rally is over, and tie up traffic from Baltimore to Richmond, the MSM will have to report it. Maybe this is the kind of thing we must do. Boycotting works too. The French have National Strikes. Maybe if we all stay home the Friday before the march and shut down the nation, maybe that will work. Drastic times call for drastic measures. The Congress is not listening, and our President is a criminal. We don't have much of a choice. Nobody has to break the law. Just call in sick Friday the 26th of March, and drive the minimum speed limit on the way home from the march. Two things we can do to get our point across. Is that asking too much? Think about it. These politicians tell us we are bringing freedom to the people in the world. How can we bring them freedom when we ourselves are losing ours. If they hate us for our freedom as the President says, they probably like us a lot more now than they did before the Patriot Act and these other laws that have been passed.

I have lost faith in our political system. It's not working for the average American. There is nothing wrong with our form of government or our constitution, it's the way they have perverted the political system. I have always said that campaign finance reform was at the heart of the problem. That and the voting system and voting integrity, of not having a paper trail for results. I believe that this is what got us to this place. That and the MSM being controlled by corporate interests. Americans are spoon fed their news. Unless you read foreign media and alternate media, you will never get the truth. CBS Evening News gave the war three minutes last night. All the hard news was over in seven minutes. Do you believe they even tried to bring us any world news? They are dumbing us down and taking out rights and freedoms away. What are you going to do about it? We have to do something, and you must believe by now that I don't make this stuff up.
