I usually support Democratic leaders but this one is a dousy. Joe Lieberman gives the national radio address on behalf of Democrats for troops wounded in Iraq?
Here is the Lieberman record on troops and vets:
First he owes every American who served in Vietnam an apology because they served while he avoided service.
Second he was monstrously wrong on the Iraq war he lobbied for aggressively, relentlessly and nonstop beginning in the 1990's but did not have any idea about how to right, win or wage it. Let alone how we should never have fought it in the first place, a fact Lieberman will never learn.
Third, when Bush and Rove attacked war hero Democrats who opposed the war Lieberman was stone cold silent.
Fourth, Joe has not shown 1% the aggression in supporting the vets and wounded troops that he showed with his obsession to wage this misbegotten war.
Fifth, barely days ago Lieberman was lying on the Floor of the Senate accusing war heroes such as Jim Webb and Chuck Hagel of voting no confidence the troops, because they were opposing this misbegotten escalation of this misbegotten war.
Sixth, not to let himself be outdone, he moved to blackmail Senate Democrats implying he would break his word to voters in Connecticut, and vote with Republicans to control the Senate, if Democrats did not meet his standard of being wrong in Iraq.
The treatment of American troops, American vets, and American wounded troops is a disgrace that is George Bush's second Katrina.
Joe Lieberman is the last guy on earth who has earned the right to speak for anyone on this subject.
