Globalization with Altruistic Intent

Globalization with altruisitic intent implies a human goal.

What are the qualities of human? A human is one who practices mercy, giving without any thought of gain of any kind, including honor or fame, and loves his neighbor as himself.

Teaching the goal of human implies getting rid of an ego that keeps us at the level of animal, exploiter, a power hungry controller. That is the goal of the fascist. That also implies that those who live in the fascist mentality are less that human, even with the body of a human. It is, after all, the consciousness that counts. Previously, fascism existed locally in various countries, Italy, Germany, Spain, and others.

Because the world population is huge, travel fast, and media mass, fascism exists everywhere. The world is a global village. We could say that we each have to fight the war within to overcome our own greed and lack of discrimination, our own fear. As a society, we wanted much. The consumers are consumed by following leaders, politicians and corporate bosses, who promise everything and are the fulfillment of nothing, except our own suffering.

The following are the 14 points of fascism as delineated by Dr. Laurence Britt (People for An Old America)..

Sound familiar. Where has The Republic of the United States of America gone? Where is even the idea of government of the people, by the people, and for the people? The Bush Administration has destroyed it and now the disease of less than human is spreading all over the global village. The people, we the people, have to change ourselves, each one of us, reach for a higher internal human goal, so that we can discriminate who is who and what is what. Am I "blaming the victim."-

No. I'm asking the victims (us) to wake up, to grow, and in thus doing, to fight back.There's a saying these days that says, "It's all good."- But is this true? If it's "all good"- why does it often seem so bad? First, what is this "it?"- Call it God; some do. Call it Nature. Some see God as a Being, while others see God as the vehicle for cause and effect of everything, while still others don't care about the philosophy of it.

What many people consider good is synonymous with pleasant, while bad means unpleasant. Now we all know that war, pestilence, famine, etc. etc. is most unpleasant. But if the Great Whatever is all good, then everything that's happening is all good. It is transcendent. It goes beyond the duality and our desire of our egos to enjoy our senses until we can't go to the bathroom anymore. If it is transcendent, then what's going on? What's in it for man?

We are being pushed, forced to acknowledge that we must become sane in our dealings with every living being, that we are part of a great whole, that we are our brothers' keepers and we must love our neighbors as ourselves.In a most painful way we are being forced to live or die. About 2500 years ago Confucius believed that a society ought to work for the benefit of all its members rather than be used merely as a pretext for the excesses of its rulers. He believed that virtue means to love one another. This would maintain a balance of material, emotional, and spiritual.

This is the eternal struggle between those who understand and practice or aspire to the human and those who aspire to the subjugation of all others. Consciousness is the only evolution. Ever since the first proto human primates climbed out of the trees and roamed the African savanna have we all struggled with these forces of nature within us.

Man may or may not be around to colonize other planets long before our sun goes nova, but how we survive on this planet, barring our own folly and acts of the Great Whatever, depends on who wins the war of greed vs. loving your neighbor as yourself. Two legs do not a human make. This is the meaning of globalization with human intent. This is the intent of the human. The world is a conglomeration of easily reachable neighborhoods with no place to go and no place to hide. The idea of globalization could be a great thing for humanity, if those who have and who rule are guided by intent devoid of greed, power and control. The way to survive and become a humble part of the whole is to respect all boundaries-- physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual. And it starts within each one of us.

Before we can act globally, we act locally, we act in our family and we love our neighbors as we love ourselves. The way to survive is to have the proper intent. Respect others, take what we need, give away the rest, and share. This keeps the balance within ourselves and ultimately in the world. We must understand that the world crisis lives within us. Our intention must be altruistic. That is the only ultimate responsibility we have and everything we do and think needs to be defined by this.

Can this happen? I doubt it. Why? There are 6 billion people on the planet and the evolution of consciousness is an individual matter. It depends on scrupulous leaders making certain that every man, woman, and child, has enough food, shelter, and medicine just because they were born. It requires continuous personal judgment and soul searching. Since power and control and transcendent altruism are complete opposites and have always existed, then perhaps a natural calamity or our own folly will destroy societies, thin out the population, enough so that there's breathing room to have another go at it. I prefer Jane Goodall's answer with a smile, "Just keep recycling."-
