By the end of October, New York's Election Commissioners
will choose either paper ballot/optical scanners or
electronic voting machines (computers)
to replace our current lever voting machines.
We need people to speak in favor of paper ballots/optical scanners at community board meetings as well as public hearings that the Commissioners are supposed to hold before they make their decision on new voting equipment.
Please join us for a training session to learn about the issues and obtain talking points for public hearings:
TIME: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
PLACE: Ascension Church Parish Hall
12 West 11th Street (between 5th and 6th Aves.)
This session will be conducted by Teresa Hommel, founder of WheresThePaper.org and Chair of the Task Force on Election Integrity of the Community Church of New York.
Please join in this effort to protect the integrity of voting in NYC!
If you want more information, or to RSVP, please contact Connie Dondore by telephone: 212-777-5533 or by email: cdondore@msn.com
