Larry Craig's request to withdraw his plea has been denied by a Minnesota judge.
Judge Charles A. Porter concluded, at the end of a 27 page report
"Because the defendent's guilty plea was accurate, voluntary and intelligent, and because the conviction is supported by the evidence, the defendent's conviction for disorderly conduct occuring on June 11, 2007 in the men's public restroom at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in Bloomington, Hennpin County, Minnesota, is valid,"
It is not known yet what Senator Craig will do next. It is assumed that Republicans will be happier the sooner he resigns, while Democrats would like to see him remain in office, keeping the stench of scandal fresh.
