A short lived but intense storm disrupted air traffic into Vancouver International Airport. A special weather advisory was issued to incoming air traffic on 124.6 mhz.
I was on Stevestons water front at Fishermen’s wharf. I am looking over towards the Gulf Islands and Vancouver Island and I see a ominous band of turbulent clouds. This band extended from a southerly direction to a almost northerly direction. They where headed towards west Richmond and the Vancouver International Airport.

I went back to Garry Point in the evening and observed another intense storm with lightning strikes . I shot quite a few pictures of this storm in infrared and also started a new group where a number of weather related pictures ar posted. I shot some of the picture in infrared because it lends itself to producing detail you might not see other wise. Infrared pictures tend to be more black and white producing very little color.
