The combined machinations
of the DNC, Superdelegates and the Hillary Clinton campaign have set back
Democratic and progressive progress by 20 or more years. This article explores
the damage done and who to blame.
Let's start with a
screaming reality. All the polls showed that Bernie would have done far better
than Hillary in the general election. Bernie Sanders would have won. He would
have won big and his coat-tails would have
carried Russ Feingold and probably many other senate and house candidates.
There are a number of
targets for blame. But before we talk about who to blame, l let's talk about
what the targets of blame should be blamed for:
1-rigging the Democratic
primary or allowing it to happen-- that would be rigging by the DNC, rigging by
collusion of the DNC, the Clinton Campaign and the MSM, rigging by local
Democratic committee people and other leaders who obstructed fair and open
primaries and problems with primary voting. Repeat studies have shown that even
the vote counting was rigged for some of the primaries.
2-Loss of the Senate: A
Top Down disaster-- the DNC leadership, with Obama rigged many state primary
elections for senate and house Democratic candidates-- designating losers based
on the criteria that they would be obsequious to the DNC.
3-Loss of the House. Same
Top Down rigging problem. I believe that Bernie Sanders could have won the
election big, with huge coat-tails that could have carried many house races. Millennials
and independents who stayed home would have come out to vote, to engage in
GOTV.
4-Loss of the Scalia
replacement seat on the Supreme Court and who knows how many more.
5-Loss of voters who
shifted from Democrat or left leaning independent to become Trump Supporters.
