What Chris Christie Failed To Say In His Keynote Speech

A lot of people found Chris Christie's keynote speech at the RNC inspiring.  A blue collar guy bucking the trends gets elected, a Republican in a Democratic state, by speaking his mind about most issues.  He comes from humble roots like most Americans and a lot of the things he said make sense.


If we are to dig ourselves out of this terrible hole that WE The People allowed to happen, will require all of us to pitch in and sacrifice and start thinking about changes in policy and directions this nation needs to make.


His mom taught him some fine rules to follow. Speak from the heart and to fight for your principles.  He spoke the truth about the founders of this nation, that the principles of this nation need to be rooted in strengths greater than the passions and emotions of the times.


He speaks the truth when he says that the leaders, along with the people of this land, and I add both Republican and Democrat alike do what is easy and not what is right.


Who can disagree when he says "We are the great grandchildren of men and women who broke their backs in the name of American ingenuity; the grandchildren of the Greatest Generation; the sons and daughters of immigrants; the brothers and sisters of everyday heros; the neighbors of entrepreneurs and firefighters, teachers and farmers, veterans and factory workers and everyone in-between who shows up not just on the big days or the good days, but on the bad days and on the hard days, each and every day all 365 of them.


He says our ideas by which I assume he means the Republican ideas are right for America, and the Democrat ideas have failed America.


He believes only, Republicans believe in telling hard working families the truth about our country's fiscal realities, but Democrats know the realities too, it is just the differences in where the priorities lie.  Republicans favor the rich and powerful, the I got mine you get yours crowd.


Hers's where Christies's priorities lie.  Let's cut Medicare for our seniors, let's have our union firefighters, police, teachers, state and local workers share the sacrifice.  Let's give the breaks to the wealthy and let everyone else fend for themselves.  The trickle down effect...
