I was waiting for Roberto to pick me up, we were going to our Wednesday protest in front of Portland, Oregon's City Hall. I was busy with getting things ready and MSNBC was on the TV. I sat down to watch the replays and they cut away to the House of Representatives because Bibi Netanyahu was going to give a speech in front of a joint session of our Congress. I watched in horror as this war criminal walked into one of our institutions and the crowd was pushing just to touch this defective human being. This was like watching "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest." I had to shut it off, I was getting physically sick. I had just watched another replay of President Obama giving a speech to the English Parliament, that was easier to take because there is some comedy involved with his speech, he even talked about something Shakespeare said. For any president to stand before the Old British Empire and talk about democracy, freedom and the "American Way" must be some insider's joke. Here the new but crumbling Empire's representative was speaking about freedoms, that with every passing day are lost to its citizens--there is some comedy here. But listening to Bibi, that is just too much. He represents a gang called the Likud Party.

It is most distressing for me, after years of protesting these wars in the Middle East, watching our representatives give this defective human being something like 29 standing ovations makes me ill! There was one bright moment that I did not see but was captured on video:

Bibi Netanyahu belongs in prison, in a deep, dark cell with Bush, Cheney, Obama, Biden , Bybee, Yoo, Rummy, Rice, and so many more. There should be a special prison, maybe we could use Gitmo for these defective human beings. We also could have the Justice Department investigate all those thieves on Wall Street. We say we are a nation of laws, let's try implementing the laws against real criminals and stop spending all our time investigating people who are working for peace around the world. Can you hear me yet Mr. Holder, we want real law and order!
There is something wonderful going on in the Middle East. We are watchers for the great march towards freedom and that is what we should do, watch. The U.S. and the rest of the West have screwed up so badly that it will take generations for the people of Egypt, Libya, Gaza, Iraq, and Afghanistan to trust us. We must help when asked, but with lots of humility. We cannot afford to send in troops anywhere in the world at the moment, because we have always used our troops to kill and destroy. When you want to find justice and peace the last place you should go is the military, they know how to kill and blow things up---that is what we train them to do! If you seek peace in the world then you must go to the peacekeepers. There are thousands of wonderful people who are working towards peace in the world, those are the people we should seek out and tell our military to stand down. We must and will leave Afghanistan, the timing can be our doing or it will be forced on us by the sheer economics of the solution. We cannot afford constantly going to war, we are destroying ourselves and must stop. We have created two monsters in the Middle East and we must let the people of Iraq and Afghanistan find their own way of joining the international community of nations. We have no credibility left, we have squandered it for years.
