"These might include, for example, raising taxes on the wealthy and closing their favorite tax loopholes in order to pay for world-class schools for everyone else; enacting a living wage and minimum guaranteed income; making it easier to unionize; and changing corporate and tax laws to limit CEO pay, and promote gain-sharing, profit-sharing, and employee ownership." (Full article here.)
And beyond such as this, there is the growing awareness that Commander-in-Chief Obama -- notwithstanding his rhetorical tap dancing -- continues in Bushido Banzai's persuasion that armed conflict or the threat thereof is the best means of gaining economic advantage for big money interests in the other hemisphere while taking egregious advantage of the "support-our-troops" contrivance back in the gud ol' Hew Es o' Ay.
So why is this now waxing relevant? Well, because even now the propaganda for the 2016 presidential election wafts up from the partisan sewers. And genuine and intelligent progressives -- being aware of the Democrats' solid (sole?) choice of candidate -- are becoming increasing disturbed by the smell of her (Hillary's of course) lust for personal power, and even of her electability in light of her financial dodgery, Zionist indenture, and also persuasion for warring as a solution, as of course supported by flag waving.
With regard to the electability issue, there is certainly already a backup plan, which is of course the gud ol' "lesser-evil" proposition. But that gambit's wearing a bit thin, as per example in 2000 and 2004 when our history's most intellectually challenged presidential aspirant triumphed over the Dems' champions, or lesser-evilists if you will -- and 2016's Jeb or Rand are a lot smarter than Georgie Boy, and are now slathering to leap upon the lesser-evil ploy and slice it into ribbons for a Republican inaugural limo.
The advice to the Dems is to give us of genuine progressive persuasion and some intelligence, a candidate we can support with some confidence that he/she will do a decent job, will reverse the 40 year trend of marginalizing the 90 percent for the benefit of the rich, who will increase the slavish minimum wage, who will improve the quality of medical care and the opportunity for a decent education for all citizens.
If that's not to be, we can expect that a larger number than ever before will be turned off by the party hack cited as "lesser-evil" -- and we will vote our conscience, and the Dems will quite likely suffer the fate of 2000 and 2004.
We're on to you, Dems. Give us a candidate we can respect and support. Give yourselves the opportunity to deserve our support.
