There is a Dark Dawn Coming

Let me start out by saying I don’t have much hope that mankind is going to make it much further, and not because I’m into the rapture, or religion, I’m not a soothsayer, Shaman, or anything of that nature, I just have been observing for six decades the history of mankind’s behavior and from basic understanding of math and commonsense have come to a conclusion that we’re screwed.

The only solace I have is that I’m not so totally sure this is the case, but it sure looks that way.

For all it’s worth, there are many worthy “causes” to get behind, that is if you haven’t sub come to despair, drugs, madness or suicide, or worse, denial with having what may be forbidden knowledge, and those causes may yet save us and prove me and the Mayans wrong.

That would be nice. To live out my few remaining years seeing some of the wrongs, righted, passing with some dignity knowing that maybe mankind can fulfill his destiny on this beautiful blue ball before it to gets sucked into a vortex 5 or so billions of years from now.

There is a saying, “Those that know, do not tell”. And I can understand that when that knowledge isn’t something anybody wants to hear. What if that knowledge is so shocking that insanity, drugs or suicide would seem the less painful avenue, or such a jolt to your system denial would kick in for survival sake? Those of you with children, how would you look your children in the eyes when they ask you “Why? Why would you be so thoughtless to bring me into a world that’s getting ready to explode, face starvation, imprisonment or conscription into a soulless killing machine?

Told you, you wouldn’t want to hear.

So, what do we do? We find something to get behind. Even though the odds are slim, we do something. All in our own way, we buy some time and make it to the next day. For many it’s to the next minute or even seconds of wondering how long before the totality of reality breaks you completely? This way leads to madness.
