Since investigation is not a process that the mass media follows, let me ask these questions on your behalf in the wake of the Friday the 13th attacks in Paris.

In the Bataclan Concert Hall there were more than 1,000 people at the rock concert. Four suicide bombers attacked it. All of them were killed.

Same with the case of Charlie Hebdo and the Kosher Grocery Store attacks in January 2015.

Or 9/11.

Was their any attempt on the part of police in Paris to capture the terrorists alive? We don't know.

The UK Daily Mail said: "One terrorist identified as a young Frenchman was known to authorities."

Ditto was the pattern in January 2015 in the Charlie Hebdo attack. French security agencies had known the perpetrators for nearly a decade. They followed them but never moved in on them significantly.

And this, mind you, when the French security apparatus has acquired unprecedented powers by law.

AFP, Reuters, ITV, AP, Fox News all reported that a Syrian passport was found near the body of an alleged terrorists.

The same thing happened when CBS reported in the wake of 9/11 that a passerby found a passport of a hijacker. The two buildings were engulfed in fire yet the passerby could be present at the sites and pick up the passport. Such massive metallic buildings were done to dust but the passport was in prime condition.

Or take the case in Charlie Hebdo attack. A gunman's ID card was found on the seat of their car.
