US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs

Exactly 10 years ago in Kiev, Ukraine, Victoria Nuland was there as US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Asian Affairs.

There was coup in Kiev February 2014 which she helped to mid wife. In a leaked audio she was heard saying to then US Ambassador to Ukraine Jeffrey Pyatt , "F--k the EU" as he was referring to the concerns of the Europeans at that time.

In that leaked conversation Nuland indicated who she preferred as the post coup president in Ukraine after then President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych was ousted.

Incredibly 10 years later Nuland is currently the US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs.

Recently speaking on CNN regarding Ukraine she started with the usual blather of US actions as in, "what we have always done, which is to defend democracy and freedom around the world." [1] Ah, certainly not but I'll get to that later in this piece.

Nuland went on to say, "And by the way, we have to remember that the bulk of the money (sent to Ukraine) is going right back into the US to make those weapons". Her statement makes it abundantly clear what is the real aim of the US in Ukraine. It's to the benefit of the weapons manufacturers to make more weapons.

As columnist and political strategist Rachel Marsden put it, "It's just the usual endless war and profits repackaged as benevolence...bamboozling the general public...boosted by fear mongering rhetoric couched in white knighting".

"There's never any endgame or exit ramp to any of these conflicts. And there clearly isn't one for Ukraine, either".

Marsden is right on the mark not only about the wretched Nuland but as former CIA officer John Stockwell put it, " keep the world unstable...to propagandize the American people to hate, so we will let the establishment spend any amount of money on arms".

That's really what US government policy and actions are all about.
