My vastly shortened letter made today's USA Today, even though I offered them an update that included the petition, now signed by 1360 of the smartest people in the United States here. I hope you will forward it on to some of your groups:

Some New Yorkers seem to believe that because Hillary Clinton won that state, it's all over for Sen. Bernie Sanders. What balderdash! Many state primaries remain.
But more important is an issue few people seem willing to address: The problems faced by voters at the polls in New York City could have figured into Sanders' loss.
Polling places didn't open on time, and thousands of voters were purged from rolls. The New York primary was a disgrace.
Our democracy is at stake.

This below was the version that didn't run. Maybe it had too many "teeth" in it for the readers of USA Today.
title: Do New York Primary again! I wrote the Petition
This disgraceful primary election had unprecedented disenfranchisements of up to 200,000 African Americans and Hispanics in Brooklyn and the Bronx, plus the kind of computer manipulations depicted in "Uncounted Votes: the New Math of American Elections." (YouTube). Watch it, to understand how Elections are stolen. Here is the petition:
Please sign this petition asking NY Attorney General Schneiderman to file for a Federal Order that New York's primary be repeated. 1370 people have signed, asking for a "redress of grievances," from that hallowed line in the 1791 First Amendment. States with documented rampant irregularities, should ask for Writs of Mandamus are granted. Why no paper ballots in Pennsylvania? I saw before and after screen shots of an entire county in Delaware being "flipped."
Americans waited for the Supreme Court to rule on those still doubtful hanging chads in Florida, when the Bush I appointees gave the White House to Bush II. We will wait again for primaries to be done with no hijacking of votes, no "flipping" and computer manipulations, and no massive disenfranchisements. These atrocious abuses cannot be fixed without being done over with scrutiny, observers and forensic experts examining every machine. Our Democracy is at stake.

I am not complaining. After all: The top three U.S. newspapers by total average circulation -- from print products, digital subscriptions and other papers that use their branded content -- are USA Today (4,139,380), The Wall Street Journal (2,276,207) and The New York Times(2,134,150), according to Alliance for Audited Media.
I just wish they had accepted my more current version.
