Rebecca Grant, US National Security & Military analyst, says the US had a role to play in ousting Imran Khan through the vote of no confidence."
FOX News anchor asked Rebecca what message she would give to Pakistan which is a nuclear
power and has a big army.
In her response, Rebecca said Pakistan needs to support Ukraine. They would also need to end all their agreements with Russia and also should stop seeking any future deals with Russia. Rebecca also said that Pakistan needs to limit its involvement with China.
She said that Pakistan also needs to end anti-US policies which are part of the reasons Imran Khan had been voted out of the prime minister's office a few weeks ago. Hence it's time that Pakistan should end anti-USA policies and end its dealings with Russia.
Rebecca Grant is president of IRIS Independent Research, specializing in defense and aerospace research and consulting.
The video clip of Rebecca
has gone viral on social media on Monday
morning.
PTI leader and former Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari shared Rebecca's interview on her Twitter handle and asked if people needed more proof of the US conspiracy involved in ousting the elected Prime Minister Imran Khan for not following the US demands.
"Need more proof of US regime change conspiracy against elected PM IK for not kowtowing before US demands? Admission by US National Security and Defense analyst Dr Rebecca Grant that the US had a role in ousting Imran Khan thru VoNC," she tweeted.
Another PTI leader Asad Umar also shared the footage of Rebecca on his Twitter account and tweeted, "Listen to a US perspective on why the vote of confidence against @ImranKhan succeeded. A clear statement that one of the reasons was independent foreign policy being pursued by Imran Khan."
Imran Khan tweeted Monday, If anyone had any doubts abt US regime change conspiracy this video should remove all doubts as to why a democratically elected PM & his govt were removed. Clearly the US wants an obedient puppet as PM who will not allow Pak choice of neutrality in a European war.
In another twee, Imran Khan said, (US wants) a PM who will be obedient to US demands; who will not sign agreements with Russia & who will downgrade our strategic relationship with China. If a PM asserts Pak's sovereignty & an independent foreign policy he will be removed & a subservient, crooked PM like Shahbaz Sharif will be brought in.
He also tweeted: After this reaffirmation of US regime change conspiracy that was evident from the cipher message sent by our Envoy in Washington conveying State Dept Lu's threat, it is surely duty of Chief Justice of Pakistan to form Commission to hold public hearings on who all were involved here in this conspiracy.
The cipher message reportedly states that there will be a no-confidence motion (NCM) against the prime minister soon, that Khan should know that it is coming and that he should not resist the NCM but go down with it. If he tries to resist it, the letter allegedly continues, Khan and Pakistan will face horrible consequences.
The letter mentions the NCM about eight times. The next day, on March 8, a no-confidence vote was indeed announced. According to Khan, he has security agency information on how the illegal buying and selling of votes took place among Pakistan's parliamentarians during this time.
Opposition parties in the National Assembly on April 9 defeated the ruling PTI government of Imran Khan in the no-confidence resolution with 174 votes. The vote on the no confidence motion came after the Supreme Court order of April 7.
