The members of Parliament have shown the rest of the world what abject, worthless, useless cowards the majority and the leadership of congress probably are. by KAZVorpal
After having entered a tragic, useless war in Iraq based on lies and deceptions, which George Bush cast the US and England into, using false CIA information ginned with the conniving of Dick Cheney, the British have shown signs of sanity, courage and integrity-- standing up to one more national leader with all-powerful king syndrome.
But the members of the US congress don't have it-- they don't have the courage, the character, the will to take a stand, to defund the military and send the message to an out-of-control rogue president that the American people do not want him to start a war or send a message or fire cruise missiles at Syria.
There may be some questions of whether Obama needs congress's authorization or whether the congress can stop Obama. But they can surely take a stand and put Obama in a position where he's standing without any support.
It is sad, pathetic and disgusting that the Democratic leadership is not pulling together the Democratic party members of the house to stand united against a war that makes no sense. Of course, they are standing with Obama, though he as pretty much thrown them under the bus or ignored them, whenever it counts.
Then, we have the Republicans, who usually want to do all they can to impede and stymy Obama. I guess their loyalty to the powers who want war are stronger than their hate for Obama.

The situation there is bad all around. The US should not get involved at all. There are so many interests and players muddying the waters. It is tragic, but the US does not belong there.
The idea that we may be using CIA information makes this worse. Why should we ever believe the CIA when it comes to making decisions to go to war.
And there are more cowards. Let's talk about Obama. His bold response to the use of poison gas will be to fire Tomahawk missiles. They will undoubtedly kill civilians. Shoot enough and they could kill more civilians, more children than the poison gas did.
A courageous Obama would stand up to the chickenshit chickenhawks calling for the US to make a response.
There is no need for the US to make a response, no reason, except that some people feel the need to do SOMETHING, even if it is not called for and could do far more harm than good.
So I challenge you, members of congress. Find your spines. Take a stand, in spite of what your leaders say and do. Tell Obama that his over-reach with executive power has gone too far, that the congress can and will make the decision on whether we go to war or not.
Or show the American people AGAIN, that you are do-nothing cowards.
