Nancy Spero has been producing cutting-edge protest art for five decades. Her biography at Artnet's Artist Works Catalogues speaks mainly of technique, but I've arranged her works to contrast the pictorial effects, which illustrates the consistency of her concerns. If they were ordered chronologically they would begin in the 1950's and end in the 1990's.

To view an article of Ms. Spero's works I published at OEN on October 4, 2008, titled simply Contemporary Protest Art, click here.
