The Washington Kabuki Theater Presents "Who Can You Trust?" Starring Barack Obama and John Kerry

President Obama and Secretary of State, John Kerry, stand on the world stage, about to give the performances of their lives, desperately trying to convince their audience of Americans and the people of the world to believe and trust them as they ready a missile attack on Syria. In the background you can hear the drumbeats of war sounding again.

Neither of the two are very good actors because most of the people of the world no longer believe anything they say, being well aware of the track record of the U.S. government that now has little to no credibility. They are worn out from listening to American presidents and their supporting casts making the case time and time again for launching an attack on one nation or another.

The jury is still out on whether the now apparent use of chemical weapons was done by the Assad Regime or by one or more of the various rebel factions that include al-Qaeda. They are questioning why Mr. Obama and Kerry are deluding themselves in thinking that they can act as prosecutor, judge and jury across this world. But these American leaders, no matter what anyone thinks or says in opposition, are determined to launch this attack using Tomahawk missiles as their substitute for further attempts at finding some sort of diplomatic solution.

John Kerry's pathetic impersonation of former Secretary of State Colin Powell trying to justify the need to invade Iraq before the United Nations in 2003 just doesn't pass the smell test. It's a pitiful display by a man who once opposed unjustifiable wars and now has seemingly embraced them.

What has happened to John Kerry? He looks and acts as if he recently went through a brain-washing process. He now seems to have bought into the John McCain doctrine of "bomb, bomb, bomb." He is popping up all over the nation's news outlets appearing like a man who is absolutely obsessed with initiating this attack under any circumstances which, according to international law, would be judged as an act of war.

In the midst of this crisis we are hearing voices of logic and reason emanating from cooler and wiser heads; those who have been through such experiences over many decades. These voices belong to 12 professionals in government affairs called the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity; very respected and dedicated Americans who have sent a letter to President Obama, the details of which can be found in this article. They are urging him not to make a rash decision before all the facts have been gathered and to consider that there is mounting evidence that the chemical weapons in question were used by elements of the rebel factions and not by the Assad government.

They make an excellent point when they ask why in the world anyone should believe the word of James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence, on record as having given "clearly erroneous" sworn testimony to Congress in the NSA spying inquiry, and John Brennan, the Director of the CIA, to whom these professionals give zero credence. The real problem lies with the fact that Mr. Obama and John Kerry apparently have bought into their highly questionable reasons for launching this attack.

Who is that lurking in the background in this Middle East crisis? Well, guess what, it's the State of Israel, its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and AIPAC, its lobbying subsidiary located in Washington. The three of them are thirsting to take down the governments of both Syria and Iran. They see this as a perfect opportunity to do just that. The greatest danger of all lies in the fact that, if anyone can ignite a Middle East war, Israel has that capability.
